+1 Economy was the last thing on the list when i bought my first 172 then my 182 . Get yourself a Golf tdi or summat similar if your afraid of the fuel bills . On long motorway trips with the trip computer reset and the cruise control set at around 75 mph i have seen 34 ish mpg on the flat .
Can't fault mine , love the sound , it looks and feels quality , you just know it's gonna last . Plus i got mine directly off Fred a couple of years ago i didn't pay anywhere near K-Tecs price ;)
It all depends how heavy your right foot is . I'll put money on it there's nothing wrong with your lambda sensor . I only ever see 26mpg on average in my 182 cos i do lots of short trips and thats from new , same with my old 172 26mpg and that was new when i bought that too .
Your 19 , you've got bugger all experience . 2 years NCB , thats nothing these days and you've had 1 accident in 2 years . Your in the high risk group i'm afraid and statistics will say your more likely to have another accident sooner rather than later . Some companies clearly don't want to...
Welcome to CS Gav . There should be 3 manuals in total . One is just the bog standard Mk 2 Ph 2 manual , then there's an additional 14 page manual just for the sports , plus the radio manual and your service booklet .
Just a thought . Why don't you message someone on her who's breaking a 182 ...
I'm running Brembo Max discs , 80 odd quid from ebay , you might even find them a bit cheaper if you shop around and Mintex 1144's . I'm happy with them , they do what they're supposed to do :D...
No i wouldn't or any other cleaner be it acidic or alkaline . Like i said before , if you do have any damage to your wheels you have to be extremely careful in how you use the products . Luckily apart from the odd lump of sh1t thats baked onto my wheels at the moment my wheels are more or less...
I'm running Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on mine at the minute as advised by a few people on here . Excellent grip in the dry and wet , and seeing that we live in a wet climate thats what's important to me . Kwik fit can be very expensive . I always opt for a local tyre place . Mine were £75 a corner...
So you didn't say " The refurb was probably crap but i'm sure there would have been less chance of it happening with a safe wheel cleaner " ?
Also AdamP saying " My mate once said the same as a lot of people in here that it doesn't damage wheels, shame he spent a fortune having his wheels...
Your right .I have my opinions and you have yours . Thats what makes the world go round and more fun , agreeing to disagree ;) At the end of the day , people can't go round giving advice and telling other people a product is " not safe " or will damage your paintwork . You just can't do that . A...
Was i now ? By whom ? So because someone on a car forum has an opinion with unproven accusations and false claims that a product is harmful , it isn't slander ? I think you need to look at the whole definition of slander . If a product is being defamed openly , on a public forum without any...
Nobody ever said that Autoglym products are the be all and end all of products . Like you say , they do make some good products and some which aren't quite as good as the competitors . And i'm sure Gally is a smashing chap with lots of friendly helpful advice . Thats not actually the issue here...
Sorry that Gallys infinite wisdom should ever be questioned :nono:. Jeez send me to the Tower for such High Treason . Like i said before " Lemmings " :rasp:
Firstly let me congratulate you on having more than one best mate ;)
In all seriousness though . Most wheel cleaners are alkalines which if you know anything about chemisty can have just as adverse affect on paintwork or bare metal as acids .
Quite an interesting read on here about acid v...
You going on about a " safe wheel cleaner " . Do you really think a company like Autoglym don't do rigourous tests to ensure all their products are safe ? They have to do mate , they have to make sure first and foremost they are safe for the environment , safe for the persons using the products...
Lmfao . What did you expect ? Autoglym have been making cleaning products for cars for over 40 years . What is all this " i wouldn't personally " and then a comment about AG Engine and machine cleaner being safer lol . Engine and machine cleaner is designed to cut through grease and oil and...
They all collect crap and are a pain to clean whatever colour . Look at the people who have their wheels refurbed white , they'll be dirty by the time they get to the end of the road :S The best colour for hiding dirt and brake dust is anthracite . You can leave em for weeks n weeks and not...
Your right mate . The second sensor in the Cat is just to show the Cats working , it's the PreCat sensor that deals wth the fuelling etc ... You'll still need a Cat come MOT time cos it won't pass with a Decat thats for sure .
