many members here will back me up when i say mine used to keep up with the sports no problem at the meets in summer infact i even remember a wee incident where i overtook a certain 182 on a backroad ;) you know who you are lol
you will need an adaptor to run it with the standard steering stalk.
i tend to stick to Pioneer as ive only had good results with them over the last couple of years in my own car and other peoples cars that ive done.
im sure renault changed the interface on Phase3 cars and you cant get an...
i just dont want to go for a slower low millage one, mine went like fuk untill about 3 months ago then its gone down hill! freds sounds like a plan but i really cant be fuked taking mine out and putting a new one in as ive just finished putting mine back in this week lol
hi, my engines pretty much had it these days, its drinking oil, coolant, and lost a bit of power (as many will remember it used to be a quick one, no longer is!)
now even although i can probably afford insurance a 1600 conversion i dont want to pay it, so mine is getting a rebuild.
been...
yep twingos happening, the 1.2 turbo engine is coming to the clio too dont know if they mean the new MK3 or MK2 Clio Campus tho.
twingo will come with 3 engines...
1.2 16v 75bhp
1.2 16v T 100bhp
1.4 16v 98bhp
dont see the point in the 1.4 being in the lineup tho having the same power as...
came out work yesterday to find some wee ***** had eather kicked my wing mirror or hit it with a car/door.
was pretty windy so think someones door must have caught the wind but still no excuse for not reporting it. the glass was hanging out dangling by the wires so i pushed it back in and it...
I had 16" Turinis from a cup on mine for a week then took them off coz it handled pish compaired to on 15s, went back to 16s a couple of times but kept going back to my 172 style ph3 15"s, got shot of them tho for a set of ph2 dynamique wheels as i think they suit the car better
yep both from scotland, lad with the gold one speaks to me on msn hes a renault mechanic, supplys and fits airbags done them himself. modified them so they go lower etc.
its a project car going on 19s with a kit etc although personally id keep it standard looking and have it mega low as i...
thats only for factory fitted cars though its not illegal to fit a set of xeonons to your car without auto level or washers, even although the car they came standard with must have them by law
i had to hacksaw mine off, but replaced one before where it just twisted there all different.
word of advice tho i wouldnt bother touching it unless your replacing with a genuine renault one such as a leather 172/182 one as the aftermarket ones tend not to fit properly, nothing better than a...
Direct Line gave me 20% off with it (£300 a year) you can only use it if your on your own policy tho so only worth doing it if your going in your own name
bushes only tak 2 minz to get out, just stick a socket on top of them and hit them with a hammer a couple of times to get them out.
i recomend the Powerflex/K-Tec uprated polly ones :)
last time i heard that my CV joint had gone, all the roller pins went into gearbox, locked the gearbox up which juddered it and snapped the mount fuking the threads in the gearbox that it screws into which then burst the exhaust...
nice one mate will be good to see it back on the road again!, what you doing suspension wise since your 1.2 coilovers are for non RS cars? standard suspension since its been supplyed with kit?
if so, price for old suspension?! ;)
yep then its a 172 mount you have mate, 1.2-1.6 16v one is a black weak looking thing lol.
and yeah deffo worth it mate do it!
old bushes just chapped out in 30 seconds by sitting a socket on them and chaping them out with a hammer.
bmh.01, bushes came from k-tec.
i had fitted the 172 mount with standard bushes and it was better than my old mount with fuked bushes but still not brilliant, it feels much better with the new ones with no movement. you drop a gear and floor it and it pulls instantly instead of a bit of...
high millage ones tend to be noticeably better than new ones. sort out the suspension, powerflex bushes all round, better brakes and good tyres and they are brilliant fun and will out handle a 172 down a backroad which makes them very very fun cars to drive, obviously the same goes for a 1.4...
