I did the same with mine when I put new centre caps in recently. Hate it when things like that are just thrown in. Even my mountain bike tyres are lined up so the logos are next to the valve. OCD ftw.
I now need to go and check if the centre caps on my M140i are lined up....I hope the Germans...
Yeah that's it. When doing the suspension and cooling system on my E34 I got all the part numbers from there, gave it all to BMW for prices, got the stuff from them which was reasonable price and then used AutoDoc for the rest. Took me a good few hours to get all the right part numbers. There...
Amazing! There is one I use my my BMW which I have basically bought any spare part from using it for part numbers and haven't got anything wrong (yet).
What are these two sensors from the upper inlet on my Ph1?
I know one is the MAP sensor but not sure which one it is or what the other one is, something to do with air temp iirc?
Also what are the part numbers as I might need to get a replacement - the one on the left has broken tabs so I am...
Next lot of work is to finish the service stuff off and pint engine parts. Moved my E34 out of my garage and storing it elsewhere so I can get the Clio in so I can use the garage as a spray booth and also have it off the road. Greeted with a flat battery on in the E34
Then went to start the...
Paint work will be the final thing to do on it and I’ll probably get it resprayed when my M140i is returned so it will all be checked then. In the mean time I’m living in ignorant bliss!
Don't look. Problem solved. Can't be rusty if you don't check
I'm refusing to take the sill covers off (for the time being) mine for this exact reason. Did the same treatment on the inner sills when I first bought it.
If you need a pair of the clip things in the rear seat belts with the seat release button let me know as I have a brand new pair and I am not going to fit them.
Not heard of verve ones, I’ll take a look I just want a good quality hose as my parents one is cheap and not good but my brother has a hozelock one and the different in quality is amazing.
I would but I have my bike hung on the wall where it would be placed, want it under it. Having these...
I would do this but its the lack of space in my garage which is the issue and wanting to have it stowed on the wall out the way. However if I can get a small one I could hang it on the wall for storage. Probably need to go to B&Q or similar and see what there is.
@Darren61 how wide is that 25m...
Can't swing out like that as it will hit the car (large car in a modern single garage). Its like a floor one that can be mounted to the wall.
Was looking at like this mount and then getting a separate hose to go on it, but I like the tidiness off an all in one thing.
Got a new pressure washer and need to fit a hose pipe and reel. There is a water supply in my garage was was going to spur off that for a garden tap. But to keep it all neat and tidy want to have the hose on a reel so it is stored properly and out the way. The one i have seen is this Hozelock...
Will also add that this morning it didn't do all this flashing stuff once running, but the key wouldn't work the central locking and then the alarm/hazzards were on, then stopped, then started again. Was also very lazy to start first time. Then after about 20mins of idle I turned it off then...
Gone to start it now, key wouldn’t unlock the central alarm. Manually unlocked the door (probably shouldn’t have done) then the hazards came on and the little light by the gear stick is on. No alarm sound (thankfully!) car was very weak to start again and then the hazards/alarm(?) didn’t go off...
Tried to search for this but couldn’t find anything.
Went to start the 172 yesterday after about two weeks not moving it. Battery was flat, but then for some reason I left the key in the cranking position for a few seconds after it had died, wasn’t cranking over, then it kicked into life. Then...
Car decided it wanted to be eco friendly today and fire on les cylinders than 4. Great. What was odd and not seen before is the immobiliser light was quickly flashing after I started it. Then it ran like a sack of crap. Hadn’t been used for two weeks and we had all that rain the other day. Left...
Would not have thought of going to Amazon to getting an injector, they are a good price so might end up getting a set of 4 so I can change mine next month when I take the inlet and that off to repaint and change spark plugs then that will be all fuel and ignition stuff changed for new...
Needs to be in good working order as it will be my daily car! So want all the mechanicals sorted and basically give it a good service and change all consumables.
Now that the exhaust is sorted, as it was undrivable with how much it banged was unbarable, plus the tracking being done it's made me really pottering about in it. Once the kncoking noise is sorted then I will be more than happy to use it more often as I don't know what it is and want to get...
You painted the heat shielding on the bulkhead, what did you use? I’ve got mine to do and gone off the idea of swapping it with that nimbus heat shield but it looks a bit naff as it is. Did yours come out ok?
I am the same, hence why mine is costing me more money at a faster rate than I planned! Two years worth of work planned and nearly done it all within 9months as it was annoying me having it not how I want. In the new year it will be suspension, interior and paint work left to do (paint can wait...
