    The big difference between a cupped 197 and a 197 cup is cost. If money's not an issue, go for a 197 with cup pack, drives identical to the 197 cup. I'd get a late R27, cup chassis, Recaro's, revised gearbox.

    The standard R26 was very rapid, one of the quickest cars there. The R26R didn't really go for it at all.

    Don't worry at all! Hundreds of 172's running on 195's! When you need to change, 205's will give a bit more grip and protect the wheel rim a bit better.
