Rallying (for me) can never be as exciting as good track racing, as it's basically racing against the clock. Close, wheel to wheel driving is the ultimate for me.
You will not regret it. Drove Riz ph2 yesterday, couldn't wait to get back into my ph-****. The throttle response, mid-range just feels so much better. The ph2 feels so sanitised when you get into a ph1.
Stiffer rear springs wouldn't help the traction issues. As said earlier, the suspension designer I've spoken to believes that the spring rates are roughly 30% too stiff, and he's looking at suspension for hill climbs/sprints.

Just tried fitting a cup spoiler to the ph1 172. Arse. Can't get it on without fouling the roof. All the screws tightened up, but theres still a gap between rear windscreen and the spoiler, no idea what I'm doing wrong?
Fred gave them a fair go fella, and he's probably quicker than most on here. The only car braking later than him was the 197cup racer. They don't feel that stiff until you have a direct comparison, but getting the power down was difficult, the softer set up were able to get more power down (ie...
