The only reason for going for a cup is the price. The weight loss is negligible, and the handling/pace will be no different to a cupped 197. Given that the albi is cheaper, it's an easy choice.

Better off doing bedford. Great surface, nothing to hit, nice and quick. You'll get bored fairly easily (you can learn it in a day), but excellent for a first time, and it's a proper track.
Ph1 172, when I come to a stop, the idle (sometimes) goes to 2000 revs. If I lift the throttle with my foot and then let it go, it idles normally, any ideas? I was thinking that maybe the throttle cable needs replacing.
Happened a few times to mine. Was the brake switch. When you touch your brake pedal, the cruise turns off. If the switch (behind the brake pedal IIRC) fails, then cruise randomly turns off.
