have you got head work as well as your cams and chip. If not get head work and a 2.0 bottom end.
A 2.0 with cams, head work, chip, de-cat and decent filter (not IK) and stripped you shouldnt have too much trouble with a 182, youll not match the bhp, but i think youll be quicker.
Dont do it buddy!!!
SPLx are sh!t, i hate them as much as Goodmans i wouldnt fit either of them. not just because i hate them, but people are never happy with them and blame the fitting not the products.
Ok i think we will have to agree to disagree on this one. Fair enough someone can be good with engines but there is only so much you can do, you cant just magically get bhp from no where.
I think you could get close to 200 bhp but would be talking about 2.5-3 grand with wild cams, fully...
Dont want to put a downer on you bud, but i realy dont think he can get you 200bhp for the sort of money your thinking about.
Id recomend Andy GDi and BenR to do the work for you. You can get your head flowed, a set of cams and chip for under 1500 quid which will see you up to about 165bhp i...
Sorry folks, these are only for the 10 people that have already ordered and paid them for a Valver/Willy, they are not going to be made again and cant get anymore for any car.
me too my man, was on the yahoo group when this opened up and joined here. Used to be on the old mailing list too (before it changed to yahoo), but cant remeber what it was.
AVA are in a feild i think, but just for springs, exhaust and viper its not really worth it. AVA is the place to go up there when your wanting some more engone work. My mate is getting an RS turbo engine built up there to about the spec of about 300bhp
Your setup seems good Ben, prob not go the route of having custom coilovers made tho.
when you say poly bushes are to hard? is that the bushes are too hard or the ride is too hard? does this have a negative affect on the handling?
As for the rear, does adjusting the height give any benifit...
I have AVO coilovers on my Maxi and yes they are are good, but i think that lowering it too much adversly affects the all round handling. I was thinking along the lines of Koni Adjustables for the shocks, but dont know about the springs and the torsion bar settings. As i said ride height is of...
Right for a Valver, willy front track thing?, poly bushes? and want to know what the BEST strut and spring setup is, ride height does not mater what so ever. (pretend cost is not an issue)
I would like to know what front shocks, what front springs, what rear dampers and what to adjust the...
yep, speakers sound sh*t when your are holding them in the air. Put them in the shelf and use the std wires and make sure you have the +ve and -ve round the right way on both speakers.
the std wires will be fine BTW, just use the wires that was wired up to the old speakers.
Make sure you have the +ve and -ve the same way around on each speaker or they will sound sh!t
on the Prima site they have the 2.1 pistons which is all it is. They obviously would do a conversion, but that would include other things that you have to decide on, like chip, or ecu and so on.
The 2.1 that everyone was talking about that came from Prima, i am pretty sure that it was the...
you cant do it on the 1.8 block, well lets never say cant but it is very hard to do it on the 1.8 block. You need the 2.0 crank and to make that fit in the 1.8 block it requires a lot of work which causes weak points.
It is not meant to give that much of a benefit to be worth the month tho...
It was on 5th Gear or Driven (cant remember which) not that long ago and they said it is legal to use on the road plus your insureance doesnt go up too much. They fitted it to a Golf Turbo Diesel.
THey said it was for safer overtaking or some p!ss like that.
