I have the part number as i got one the other day, put it in and was greeted by blissfull silence....for 5 minutes then it broken and started buzzing like the last one. I am just going to leave it for now, £10 for 5 minutes silence is not too good, obviously a design fault....
...Will dig out...
Not sure about hillpowers, would recommend their silicone elbow tho.
The thypoon was discussed not long ago mate, do a search on it but the general line from K&N was it wont fit, however most are 99% sure it will when the acoustic valve is removed.
Hope that helps
I was thinking the same, and for the money it seems worth a go, especially if you could RR it before and after.
Cant vary that much for the others surley. If you get one let us know what its like mate.
They have a very good rep in the jap tuning world IIRC
Can anyone do me a really big favour, tried on photoshop myself but made a hash of it. Can someone please photoshop my wheels in black and side badge and also in a dark grey colour please. Would be doing me a huge favour.
Cheers
Hi all. Just after some advice really as what to do next and approx costs. Interested in advice from people that have taken things further also.
Story so far
Performance Panel Filter
Re-routed Air Feed to Fog Light Well
Hillpower Silicone elbow
Matched & Ported Inlet
Matched & Ported Plenium...
Just been to the only 3 garages open on a sunday and not one of them have the equipment to check camber etc and wont check tracking because its been lowered. What an arse!!!! all the performance places round here will be shut till tuesday.
To top all that off the low tyre was actually 10psi...
Just fitted my prolines today. Do i need to get the tracking done or will it be ok? When i tested it afterwards it was pulling to the right quite badly and when i checked the right hand side was lower than the left but noticed the tyre was a little low on pressure so will pump it up in the...
One on ebay done 7K and he is asking a min of £12500 i think so i reckon between £12k and £13K is a good price. I wouldnt go too much higher. I know if i was going to pay £14 say for a clio trophy i would be looking at pushing my budget for the meggy one
Your cars already got one, unless you need a new one your old one should be fine.
I got an uprated one to sort out the AFR as was out slightly and wanted it ok as i had to wait a while for a ecu to sort it.
There are probs more benifits but wont be seen till you modded more as matt black said...
Does anyone have pics of mk2 172 wheels in a colour other than silver? Still thinking about having mine done...Never seen any pics tho, i was thinking of going for a light grey colour
Putting it in the bumper is just for show also, there wont be any extra benifits to be had from doing this. The benifits from a "RAM" effect wont happen till the wrong side of 150mph. Also in some cases, cars with air con especially the space to get it in the bumper is very tight and means the...
Will perform the same as the K&N i imagine and just sound a bit nicer, wont see any performance increase i wouldnt have thought, if anything maybe some more heat soak that the K&N due to increased surface area?
Looks nice tho and bet it sounds good :)
In my experience HKS are just the same...
Not all group Ns are the same. Not sure about other companies (yozza, gdi etc) but i know the N from BB Tuning has been altered to better suit the road car. The group N was originally done for the rally car and so problems exsisted with the revs etc. BBPT have spent a lot of time developing...
Cant be that hard to do i agree, however you will need the K&N cover (or alternative) to cover the filter to stop water and general sh*t going in the filter as it will be located in the wheel arch.
£50 for a cambelt change before you sell the car....thats cheap :)
Only joking, things like this shoudnt be sold on ebay. Then again there is also someone who knows someone etc etc that can get them...
VERY wrong!!
Would the ecu not just compensate for the new mods. I thought the standard ecu would do this and not need resetting so assumed same for group N.
I have never done that to mine with my mods. Do you think its worth disconnecting the battery for 15 mins?
Ktec's mentioned gains on their website seem a little OTT to be honest. They estimate their sports cat gives something like 8bhp increase (more than they estimate their de-cat BTW). Maybe he has gone off the website, I.E Stealth +8, Sports Cat +8, Vipers claims of 8 bhp. Then he will think he is...
Will be fine mate. The group N is mapped for performance exhausts already so in actually fact putting the ecu in before the exhaust isnt using the ecu to its fullest.
Someone will correct me if i am wrong but i think thats correct and it wouldnt need reseting or refitting, would just work...
