    Wifi for cottages

That would require that they were all on the same electical wiring to work, I would have thought all 6 will have there own consumer units and ring mains etc.

    Wifi for cottages

Just run the cat 6 externally? I'd have thought (looking at the pic) that an access point in both cottage 3 & 5 would cover the whole place.

    ***How much is it worth?***

So, I’m thinking of selling my R27. It’s a 2007 57 plate on 72,500 miles and could do with some advice around pricing etc. It could currently do with a few quid spending on it, it needs 2 handbrake cables (well one as it's seized), a small dent in the rear quarter repairing and it has a small...

    Cat D.

    * Category A - Must be crushed. All of it. * Category B - Vehicle may not be returned to road but parts may be sold. * Category C - Repairable. Significant damage. Cost of the repair is more than book value of vehicle at dealer rates. - VIC test required * Category D - Repairable. Probably...

    Phs1 172 or clio3 197 f1?

Hmm, i'm thinking prices of F1 models seem to have risen recently. I too can't find many below the £7k mark. If that's the current going rate I think I need to get mine advertised!

    Phs1 172 or clio3 197 f1?

Where did you do a valuation that showed £8k+? Thats early 200's money. Are you specifically after a very low milage car? If so then you'll pay a premium (that in my eyes isn't really justified) Average mileage for an F1 would be around 50-60k now (All will be around 5+ years old now) so...

    Phs1 172 or clio3 197 f1?

That isn't cheap at all. I've had mine for nearly 2 years and didn't paid that much!

    Rear brake pad tool ??

Ive got this one from Halfords http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_214227_langId_-1_categoryId_255216 Does the job nicely on MK3 rear calipers.

    Halfords own oil

It's on offer at the minute too £10 for 4l. I can't see how it can be bad when it meets all the manufacturers specs (ren700/710 etc)

Oil filter 182. What way does it undo?

Must be very easy then as it's not what i'd call difficult on a 197!

Oil filter 182. What way does it undo?

I use a pair of these, not sure how much more difficult (if at all) it is to acess the filter on a 1*2. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/oil-filter-wrench?da=1&TC=SRC-oil%20filter

Oil filter 182. What way does it undo?

Normal thread. If it won't budge by hand (which is unlikely) you'll need an oil filter tool. It should come off easily with that.

CV boot failed after 15k miles!

It hasn't actually failed yet though. It could stay like that for another 6 years. Without keeping it on the car you'll never know how long it would actually last for.

Ruined gearbox on clio rs 200 £2500 to fix by Renault

I'd take it back if I were you mate, it doesn't sound right. The clutch should be no different. They won't have been able to photograph the syncro as it's inside the gearbox, they won't have opened the 'box up at the dealership, it's not their area of expertise.

Who are you insured with and how much are you paying?

It's a bit old to drive a chavy bright red R27 plastered in stickers! To be fair, in the scale of things no - 31 isn't old, but the majority of folks on here are 18-25 so I feel old!

Ruined gearbox on clio rs 200 £2500 to fix by Renault

The gearbox is £1k overpriced! Remember to get the clutch done at the same time. Pointless to put a used clutch back in.

Driving with no tax and test

Fred, did you actually get stopped and that's how they found out or was it because the tax hadn't been renewed etc? I'm asuming it was DVLA that fined you, not the police? It's crazy that tax isn't something you can just call up and sort out (like insurance ) it makes collecting cars etc a...

Driving with no tax and test

Not sure you're correct there mate. What about insuring SORN vehicles.......... You DO NOT have to have tax to have your car insured. Having no tax will not invalidate you're insurance.
