    172 Cup Revving when dipping clutch

    I don't know the 172 lumps, but does the inlet have to come off to change the injectors? Maybe an air leak on the inlet if so?

    Clio 197 F1

    I'm not disagreeing with you, i'm 100% with you that if you are worring about the running costs (be that servicing, parts, tax, insurange or mpg etc) then it's the wrong car to buy. Having said that, yes it's the same with any car of that age/mileage but parts for the 197/200 are generally...

    Clio 197 F1

    It is, but a balljoint on you average car costs £10 and takes 30 minutes to fit. On a 197 it's £60 and 2 hours.

    Reckon this 'chip' is repairable?

    Has it had paint before? Seems odd for it to peel like that. It could be repaired without painting the entire bonnet, but I think you'd see it. Better off getting the whole bonnet done in my opinion.

    Hardwearing, economic tyres?

    My only advice on this is don't buy Michelin PS3's if you want 'long lasting' my fronts are down to 4mm after about 4 months! lol (to be fair thats probably more to do with the 350+lb-ft of torque going through them but hey-ho)

    Genuine Oil filters

    Nobody said you had, however the OP's question was where could he get genuine oil filters. I've got no issue with aftermarket filters in general, however I wouldn't put one in my car for the sake of saving a couple of quid over a Volvo item. Same with the oil, yes I can get oil that meets the...

    Virgin --> Sky

    It's always seemed like the android/apple argument to me. I like the idea of Tivo/Android and it should be a very powerful tool, however Sky/iOS just works and works well.

    Ive had Virgin Internet for the last 5 years and have never had any restrictions applied. There's days where I will download 200gb+ and nothing has ever happened or been said

    Virgin --> Sky

    I have the best of both worlds - Virgin 120mb internet and phoneline and Sky for TV. Check quidco for cashback as they usually have £100+ cashback offers on (for Sky). I hated Virgin Media TV when I had that. The TIVO box is so buggy!

    New LED's on the 200

    There's really no need for the 'canbus error free' ones. I personally have these (from the same seller) http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321404501811

    350z Roadster GT Project

    Love these - but not as quick as the figures suggest they should be, probably down to the weight perhaps? Love the wheels in the new colour, not a fan of the front grill though, it looks very 'halfords' imo. Other than that - spot on!

    RS200 Cup gearbox worry

    The boxes can be pickerd up for <£400 new anyway, so it's not the end of the world if it does go. My 197 was on 70k+ when I sold it and the box was perfect. I still think a lot of it is to do with the way it's driven.

    French Boost Project

    It's twice the size of the one i'm running on a 300hp 5 pot turbo and mine will still be fine when I eventually hit 400hp - it's entirely unnecesary and will add lag on something with a small turbo.

    panel filter advise. What to go for?

    Quick question - how have you manged 240bhp on the standard filter? MK IV I assume? REVO stage 2 takes them to 205-220bhp but requires intake mods. P.S i'm not doubting you, just interested as I have a couple of friends with MK IV Golfs and this could be useful to them.

    S40 T5 sleeper project

    OK - quick update. I wasn't happy with how one of the intercooler pipes was sitting. As i'm not running the std intercooler (or one specificly for my car) one pipe was slightly too short meaning it was on at a funny angle. I ordered 1m of 63mm silicone and had a spare 90 degree bend so had a...
