What decats have you people got , is it a certain make that doesn't get the light on or is it pot luck . I might look at getting one sometime , any pics of the lambda sensor ,tube .....?
^^^^ In other words mate the exhaust isn't covered under the anti corrosion warranty , but if the dealership has the opinion that it has failed prematurely then they will replace it , bearing in mind there are good / helpful dealerships and shall we say some not so helpful dealerships .
If you read the warranty booklet and understand it your a good un , lol .
Under Renaults anti corrosion warranty its says that " Mechanical elements such as alloy wheels and exhausts are NOT covered " by the anti corrosion warranty .
But it sounds like it is up to the discretion of the...
^^^^ Who opens and reads the letters then , a mature student maybe ;) ? If you have a problem the first port of call would be to ring them imo . I've phoned them a few times and they have always been very helpful .
Sorry mate , just stating a fact , i don't work for Haynes , lol . If you compare the sales of the sport models to the normal clios i would say that there is a low % of sport models out there , then you have to take in to consideration that not all sport owners would want to buy a Haynes manual...
Your better off phoning them really . I've used flux for a few years and the online quote is always more than when i speak to somebody on the phone .
Good price though ;)
^^^^ You could try the dealers mate , tell them its seized , they should last a few years you would think , nothing to loose if you go and see them .
Brakes as in pads and discs might not be covered but thats debateable , depends whats wrong with the pads and discs , how many miles , age etc...
They all do it mate . The pads rust onto the disc . New calipers are very expensive , about £120 on and exhange basis , sorry thats for a refurbed one. If it really is sticking it will ne the handbrake mechanism , the adjuster screw can rust inside . Its a bit of a ballache to sort to be honest...
I would have said spark plugs or coolant temp sensor if you didn't have the emissions light on . But i'd still go with the lambda sensor .
If its the coolant temp sensor you temp guage will start to dance about , one min thinking the engines warm the next thinking its cold so over fuelling ...
If its the original battery i would say that its knackered mate . The batteries fitted by Renault are pretty crap , low amps , if you can hold of a multimeter test the battery , it should be reading about 12.5 or 12.6 volts after its been left with the engine off for 10 mins .I think the...
^^^^ What service books this then ? Leads aren't part of the service and the recommended change for the spark plugs on a 2.016v 172 / 182 is 72,000 miles . I think somebodies telling you pork pies mate .
I'd get back in touch with the dealership that recommended that they should be changed ...
Try some of this from carwashnwax , not loads n loads of suds but as Rich says it doesn't need to be as long as it is slick and this stuff is very slick , leaves the car looking great .
Discount for CS members if you e mail David Graham .
Plus lots of other good products that he sells so...
There's a Haynes manual for the clio 2001 - 2004 but not for the sport model , it covers pretty much everything except the engine , it wouldn't be worth their while printing one as the sports models were only sold in small quantities compared to the standard range...
13.8bhp i think they've got the decimal point in the wrong place , lol , more like 1.38bhp ;)
They're not exactly going to say that you gain little or no power or they wouldn't sell it . I phoned k+n the other week about a problem i had after fitting the apollo and spoke to the guy on research...
How come you had the leads and plugs changed on the 182 ? I know the plugs are suppose to last 72k which is very optimistic imo as i had to change mine at 30k on my old 172 .
What leads and plugs have you got on now , seems like your problem lies with either or both as you say the problems...
So whats the difference in leaving the second lambda sensor off ( in a tube ) a 182 and a 1.416v ?How come the 1.4 will run like a bag o' shite when the 182 is supposed to be ok with the exception that it might cause the toxic emissions light to come on ?
Anybody know whats the difference ??
I agree with Alan xxx hardcore wax on my arctic blue looks good from carwashnwax. Also liquid souveran from www.motorgeek.co.uk
http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/pinnacle-liquid-souveran-p-77.html
Also the the extreme body wash shampoo is excellent ...
I'm probably wrong , somebody correct me if i am . I had a similar problem a while ago , a series of beeps a few seconds apart . It could either be your memory fcuked up , or could be your memory not seated right .If yu've got more than 1 stick of memory you could try leaving one in and...
Comparing it to my gps , the speedo ( needle ) reads over by a few mph . If i set the cc to 80 the gps reads about 79 on the flat bearing in mind if your going up a hill or down a hill the Renault manual does state that it is unable to maintain the set speed .
If they don't tell you that its going to cost you anything then i'd let them go ahead and do it . Thats what Kitchens did at Burnley with me, when i went to pick the car up the guy on the desk said that'll be £360 . I told em the other guy who was on his day off said it would be ok and never...
