Powerline network adapters - anyone with experience?

Cheers for the info guys, I don't think the ring main will cause me too much of an issue. Yes, it will be across 2 seperate ones but the house is only 20 years old and we had a new consumer unit fitted last year so everyting is of a fairly high standard. I'm sure it'll be fine. Cheers Chris

South Normanton, Alfreton, Somercotes etc meet

Morning all, Over on 197.net I have started arranging a meet on Sunday 4th of November. We haven't settled on a time or location yet so this is just a heads up. We're hoping to meet in a good location for photos, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be good. We don't want to travel too...

    Changing 197 Sidelights

Also you may find that the bulbs you've put in the numberplate won't light it up sufficiently. Ideally you need some with multiple SMD's.

    Changing 197 Sidelights

Just take the battery and small fuse box covers off and it's accessible. You might find it easier if you unbold the alarm sensor too. It's just 1 10mm bolt.

Powerline network adapters - anyone with experience?

It's Devlo ones i've been looking at, however the TP-Link ones posted look like they might be worth a punt, although I could really do with some pass-thru ones as I only wired one double socket into the loft. Cheers for the help guys

Powerline network adapters - anyone with experience?

The ones i'm looking at have gigabit lan connections, my Virgin Media superhub has gigabit connectivity as does my network card in the PC, so hopefully I should see ok speeds i'd imagine?

Powerline network adapters - anyone with experience?

I've recently moved my PC into the loft to use as a media server for my Apple TV etc. Unforunately as a temporary measure it's connected over wifi. Wifi is working ok, but i'm only managing a 50mbps connection most of the time, and having a 120mbps BB connection obvisously this isn't good...

    Subframe bent, best options?

How hard did you hit the kurb?!? As above though, not worth going to the hassle of converting. Just sell up and move on would be my advice!

    New Clio Owner Help

There are NO HOLES behind the C L I O badge on a MK3. Well not on a 197/200 anyway and I can't see why the 1.2 would be any different.

Need some sort of legal advice...

Your description of how the accident happened doesn't make sense to me. If she pulled out infront of you how did she sideswipe your bumper? A bit of a better explanation may be needed. However, I'd say if there is a witness then it will go down as your fault.

rs rear spliter on my 197

That's a 200 rear diffuser, and yest they fit if you can find one. There is a trader on 197.net that supplies these in gloss black fibreglass.

    erm... fake 200? 197?

Accident damaged maybe? Seems an odd choice though? Why ruin a prefectly good 197 with THAT front end?!

Average time to sell your Clio?

Easier? Yes Cost effective? No The last car I sold was a 2005 Pug 307 HDI. Best part ex I could get against an R27 was £1200. I sold it on ebay with a no reserve auction for £2600 within 7 days. Part exchanging is just lining a dealers pocket. I wouldn personally only do it as a last resort.

New shocks WON'T come with bump stops. They are a seperate part so don't go buying new shocks expecting them to be there!

RS 200 air filter service interval

Good point actually. This is the very reason I always self service. The only time my cars visit garages are MOT time, tyre changes and soon my cambelt. Everything else I tackle.

Recaro's make the interior of the 197's. Without them they are pretty plain IMO.
