I've bought some m5 flanged button head bolts with some Form C washers. Plan on just using flanged serrated nylocs on the back, easy to buzz on and off with a rattle gun and a spanner.
Mine are starting to look similar, I've looked inside the rear quarters and they're absolutely sound in there.
Plan on getting it sorted at some point, im in no huge rush now though as if they need cutting out anyway makes no difference really.
Looking to tackle the rust behind my petrol flap at some point soon, but before i drill out the rivets just wondering if anyone knows the size of them?
Has anyone just replaced them with some button head bolts? Will be easier to remove and clean behind in the future too.
ta!
Gave the car a wash, having used a ceramic detailer last time this was a breeze! As it had been a year since the last service I gave it a quick refresh with some genuine elf oil and a new genuine filter. Gearbox oil was done with MTL in september when the box was replaced, so no huge rush on...
What I'm getting at is it seems like a lot of work for very little gain. Wonder what the percentage of cars with 'dodgy' MOTs is right now. You've still not quoted your source for this
I think from this thread alone I'll never use this 'specialist'. Amazing going to the expense of a new engine and then swapping unknown quality parts over.
And you still want to take it back to him and have confidence he will sort it!
I'll have a look mate! Need to clean all my pads out, never got round to it! I used a nylon brush to clean out the compound on each panel, do i need to do it more often?
New rear wiper blank arrived. This is the fibreglass variant rather than the carbon as I'll be painting it satin black regardless. Mine has always been 'sagging' as it's a bodged genuine one that's had filler and fibreglass on the back. This new one should be loads better!
