If you value the engine then as said get it done. I would. If you really can't afford it then maybe don't use it for this summer. You can get all belts done and a dephaser added in for maximum £570 on a 182 FF. Mine is with MWM as we speak. Seeing as yours is a cup it would be even less.

I asked my mate this who's an MOT tester. He said at his garage, if there is a seat then it needs a seat belt. But if there is no seat then no seat belt is required. I'm not sure if that's the actual law or just the policy at his garage. All garages will vary to some extent.

Eibach pro lines don't lower by 30mm. I dought the sportlines even go that low to be honest. If on a budget I'd go for the cooksport springs. Heard nothing but good things about them and they seem to sit quite low.

What type and colour was the paint. See if any of the flats happen to have the same colour on their door or sills etc..
