I worry that with it being ovalled it will make it especially hard to reposition. I like the second idea, but the top hat was a pain to tap down so might not be so simple to remove without full access!

Won't I lose their position though Carl? Or can you somehow leave them in place and drop the whole arm down to access the top?

Yeah, I'm suprised it didn't do it from the start if it was going to knock. Had these on a fair while now. I presume there's no way to fit little washers without removing the whole shock?

I'm running KTR solid top mounts. I did need to tap down the top hat onto the bilstein as the ID was slightly too small it seemed (or OD on the bilstein). I could see where washers would sit underneath but i've had no problems up until recently. Everything else is still tight on top unless...

Just recently its happened. Didn't happen when the bilsteins went on and had no knocks from top mounts without spacers. Just suddenly started.

Tell me about it. Kind of sounds like the manifold banging but I've pulled then engine forwards the most it can go. Very frustrating.

I've had it down to the mounts again and pulled the engine forward before retorquing it all again. It's got solid top mounts with new bilsteins. These were still tight on check. All new wishbone bushes, had a balljoint either side last year and they still feel fine. New hubs fitted with new...

Degreased the grill and lightly sanded it back with some wet and dry then gave it a spray with some grey primer. Then using some hycote satin black it got a further 4 coats then refitted onto the car. Looks miles better now being full black rather than the grey blue it was before. Not...

It won't as it recognises it as still being there. Safer and easier option over resistors

Yeah, so I'm using resistors 100ohm, 274ohm (2 in series to make 274) and 910ohm. I checked them all before wiring up but will try again. Do I not need to introduce a voltage to the system to read a resistance when the button is pressed? And not one button works. I'm right in thinking even...

Yeah I know. More the fact they did it, showed me the readout and it was fine. Drove the car and it steered badly left. Took it back, looked fine, did the same thing again. Just hassle more than anything

I used the same tool above, didn't remove anything and the filter came off fine. Went on easy enough by hand.

Had mine on for around 600 miles after fitting and had toe tweaked as wheel wasn't straight and the bolts hadn't moved

I'd use them anyway. Not sure what sort of camber you can get on the oval, I just have both in
