Removed my inlet tonight and fitted my new spark plugs. Had been meaning to do this since I got the belts done, but just haven't had chance although I've not put that many miles on yet anyway!
The old plugs were well worth changing! But was nice to see they were NGK, however old...
Colour of the paint and it's finish is actually really nice considering it's a VHT paint. VHT paint isn't really needed on there though, many have had no problems with normal paint.
I've found these 54mm fairly cheap here - https://www.n2o-tuning.com/bilstein-b14-pss-gewindefahrwerk-renault-clio-2-bj-02-00-12-02/a-290317/
Might be worth emailing them asking them if they do the 60mm ones at all. About £575 for the above.
You can always get the oil changed, and then refuse to have any work done if they insist on the box. Although, that might be what it needs. Pretty low mileage though so i doubt it! I think @imprezaworks is right in thinking it's a linkage issue.
I might do, it considerably better than a generic 98ron map? I'm told mines been 'remapped' but all PO's lie. Havn't actually looked to see whether I have a rev limiter at 7.6k or not though.
Bilsteins, 2118's, mapping, polybush/black allround, PMS Topmount/brace, ARB, Bumper/Bonnet respray. Will probably just shove a 98ron map on it next as all the other maintenance is pretty much out the way.
Can't wait for the mods. Expect lots of whatsapp updates.
Some people experience misfiring or lumpy running with the cheaper fuel. IMHO when you account for the points from shell vpower, even though it's like 6p more a litre, you're probably only spending about the same as if you put in the cheap stuff. Triple points on v-power nitro+ at the minute...
I contacted pretty much every company and proplates were the only ones to actually help out with making a smaller plate (besides fancyplates).
For the standard sized rear completely plain it's £9.99, then a smaller 520x85 front plate it's £10.99. Not sure on postage but I don't think it's much...
Looks nice, new bonnet and you'll be grand. Hope there's no damage underneath though.
Where in leeds you from mate? And how much you pay for the RB out of interest?
Looking good with the carbon bonnet Dave. Use Proplates if you're wanting some clean plates. They'll do 520x85 too if that's what you're wanting. Cheap as chips. https://proplates.co.uk/
You need to email them though.
I've got the original recall letters (about 4, renault got needy) and the PO had the latch actually replaced as it was shown as not functioning correctly. Just keep them greased up and moving and it'll be grand.
It'll be the light itself that's knackered. They let water in and then die. I need a new one now, as all the plastic of the light itself has gone brittle with it's age, although my DIY LED strip is still going strong.
You can get in from the front with a small flathead screwdriver wrapped...
Given the car a thorough clean the past few days making the most of this sun. It had gotten filthy inside, so I vacuumed and cleaned all panels, seats, doorcards etc to get it spotless again. The seats need debobbling which i'll do when home, and also the bolsters could do with a little...
