I'll keep on eye on this thread, mines doing the same. Does it on the over-run, maintaining speed, louder over 2,000RPM, sounds louder from underneath the car/passenger wheel arch area at idle.
Belts were done by Fred in Autumn last year, since then it's had an oil change after approx...
Switch on your lights, and hold the washer stalk, initially you will hear the windscreen washer motor, then after it the headlamp one should go.
Mine are disconnected and hidden behind the wheelarch so water drips from there on mine, its a bumper off job if you wish to disconnect them and see...
We finished dropping my Titanium on some KW's on Saturday, and as the cars were clean and the sun was shining it would have been rude not to grab some photee's..
There were taken using an iPhone 5, and I'm quite impressed with the quality of them tbh.
:)
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
So the KW's arrived the other day, originally they were IcemanUK's original suspension and had been modified to fit a 182 Cup/Cup Packed 182. Being slightly concerned about the front fitment we fitted the fronts first... no problems whatsoever:
Then the...
Pioneer DEH-8400BT.
Wanted one that matched the dash lights, plus iPhone compatible. Has tons of inputs (Bluetooth calls/ Bluetooth audio/2 x USB/SD Card (upto 32GB)/MP3 CD.
One thing I would suggest, is before putting the bulb holder back in the headlight unit and re-fitting the cap, switch your lights on to check the LED bulb works as most need to be the correct polarity. If it doesn't work the bulb is in the wrong way, remove and rotate 180 degrees. Thats...
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Lots to update about the car! I've neglected this thread somewhat!
I lost the Connects2 compatibility when I upgraded to an iPhone 5, so instead of just buying a new lead, I bought a new headunit. Settled upon the Pioneer DEH-8400BT due to the amount of...
I'm running the Hankooks after my PES's ran out...
They have a softer tyre wall so the car feels like it's 'sinking' at first when your cornering reasonably hard. I got used to it in time however.
Still a very capable tyre.
Spoke to Kam today. Apparently Bilstein have fitted these to a 182 Cup and they are under testing. Kam expect to have these late this week for delivery early next week if all goes well with the testing. They have produced 50 sets they told me.
He said hopefully they will start selling them in a few weeks. Sounds like too long for me. Just seen some FK Konigsports for not much more which I'm tempted by, but the bolt spacing says "58mm" :S
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I spoke to them and he said its incorrect measurements on the initial batch. He's been busy so not had chance to chase it up but he will do. Told me to call on Monday and he will let me know where they are at with it.
I'll bump this as it saves creating a new thread. I'm looking at these from Kamracing for my Clio instead of the GAZ GHA's, does anyone know if these issues mentioned have been ironed out yet? I'm wanting to order on Monday.
If not I'll give them a bell tomorrow and see what they say.
I'm 95% sure its dephaser then, which means new cambelt & aux belt kits unfortunately! It's expensive yes but you are guaranteed piece of mind after the work is done!
At idle it sounds exactly like mine did before it went to Fred for dephaser & belts so quite possibly dephaser if it sounds like that at idle. The tapping noise should go after 2,500RPM or so if its the dephaser.
Myself and two friends are going to be putting some GAZ GHA coilovers on my car in a few weeks, along with some Pure Motorsport solid top mounts & front strut brace.
What is the best way to attack this?
I thought get all 4 wheels off the floor, do the coilovers first, then drop it back down to...
I'm going to be purchasing some coilovers for my Clio at the beginning of next month and fitting them myself with the help of a friend.
I want a fairly low drop if possible (40mm-45mm) however I don't want to destroy the ride completely. I'm getting the GAZ/KTR setup which also has damping...
My letter turned up today so it's booked in. Some people are telling me the letters they are getting are stating its £95+VAT if they require any corrective action. Mine says in bold its free of charge.
I've already started the write ECU now without starting the car. I took it for a good boot down the motorway and connected it up to the charger when I got home, then connected up the rst.
