I wouldnt take the heat for that if I were you. The rules are (now) that they have to be clearly visible from 60 metres in a 30 zone ( or something like 60m) and they are definitely *NOT* allowed to hide anymore and then jump out. I swear this is true, please dont be a sucker and hold your hands...
Yeah its all hassles with a valver! You get used to it I can assure you, maybe we should have a top ten of how much people have spent on them in the last year. I must be looking at 5 grand, can anyone beat that? I must need my head examined. (BTW if youre wondering, thats stage 2 head and cams...
Yeah remember on the F7 engines its easy for as bit of oil to go into the plastic cover bit and never be seen again, but it just drips down into the plug wells. Just a bad design really.

ps doesnt matter how big they are!
Leigh did it on his Willy. Id suggest getting the old ones out and then see how you get on. I seem to remember it didnt look that complicated in Leighs engine bay.
Exactly, if youre putting cams in and youre doing the job properly, the head would need looking at anyway. Then all youve got is the bottom end to do while the engines out. you should do the whole job all in one go and come out of it with a recon, better engine.
Yes theyll go straight on mate. 38mm is what I run. As long as you stick to a 205/40/17 which most aftermarket 17s come with anyway. You will probably need to take the sh*tguards out (or leave them in and find out where they rub) but whether they rub at all will be a matter of driving it and...

lol Jon even as I was writing my message I knew you were gonna say that about 172s! What I mean is apart from freak Willys like yours and Craggys, I cant think of any standard cars that would keep with a 172, they just seem a lot easier to drive fast. Just put your foot down and go and thats all...
I went from a 1.4 RT to a 16v, Id always wanted a Valver or a Willy and a few years ago, Willys were 10 grand at least for a good one.
Ive gotta assume youve never driven a 16v. Look one up and go and have a test drive. Itll open your eyes. You wont even think its a Clio, its so different...
