What Don said, sometimes mine does it when I press the button, most of the time it's down to me pressing it like a pansy, but when it started doing it loads, I switched to using my spare key and it doesn't do it any more. Tbh I could just change the battery in the other one, but i'm lazy. :D

Does it free wheel with the clutch in? When mine shat itself and was stuck in two gears the clutch still worked, so when the recovery truck came, I sat in it so it could be towed onto the flatbed.

Not really mate, as there's only really one way you can fit them, which is put them on, bolt them down and torque them up. Maybe i've just got use to the dog kennel rattling and vibrating over the years, so even if there is an increase, I just don't notice it. Tbh the car stopped vibrating...

Lol yes, but mine don't vibrate at all, I must have fitted them correctly by accident.

I would have thought that drivetrain movement would be the thing that puts stress on the parts, not lack of movement?

Fitted mine last week, no increase in vibration at all, and no problems of any kind so far.

No it's alright mate but thanks for the offer, i've got a ECP just up the road from my house, I can just pop in and ask them. I'm having a new steering rack fitted next week so it's a good opportunity to upgrade the arb.

Yep, all 172s have them, the outer bushes connect to the wishbones, and the inner bushes are mounted to the subframe I think. Kam racing sell Powerflex aswel, they're not too bad on price either. I can't find Powerflex bushes on the ECP site though.

It's not flocked any more, I wiped all the sh*te off for CSS, everyone was disappointed it wasn't as dirty as they'd hoped. lol The back's still all kinds of f*cked up though, but that's where the dog lives so there's no point in even trying to keep it clean.
