    Ford Fair 2012

You're such a Ford wh*re. lol Yet you drive a gay German hairdressers car. ;) Although it's the smart move if you want your car to start in the morning.

    Ford Fair 2012

When I was driving to Stratford Upon Avon on the A46, I saw so many MK1 Escort's and Cortina's I nearly crashed from drooling over them. There's a lovely pic of a Mk1 Lotus Cortina in you gallery, please post it as it's amazing! In fact I think you should post all of them, as there are so...

    re-map

A few lads have had a go at making a K-Tec style IK, pretty much exactly the same but at a fraction of the cost. All part prices and where he got them are in the link below. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?641895-Home-Made-Induction-Kit&highlight=home+made+induction+kit

    re-map

http://www.fastchip.nl/ You buy a box that connects to the ODN port under the ash tray and to a laptop, you buy the correct map for you VIN, then use your laptop to upload it. (piece of piss tbqfh) A K&N IK will more than likely lose you power due to heat soak, atm everyone's banging on about...

    legal tyre depth

1.6mm, but i'd say any tyre under 3mm should be changed as they're no longer performing properly or displacing enough water on a rainy day.

    re-map

A remap won't give you big power increases, but a Fastchip remap with an RSTuner box is a good idea, it's a generic remap but it smooths out the 5k kick and massively improves the lumpy idle and cold starts. Combined with a decent exhaust and new/clean air filter, it will make the car more...

    5000 rpm Kick

Yep 5k rpm kick is normal, mines remapped with an RSTuner box so the 5k kick has been smoothed out. I put it back to normal a year or two ago, I didn't like the whole nothing....nothing....nothing.....5k rpm....at last some power. Standard engines feel broken to me now.

Austin Mini seems too good for the price..

As far as I can tell, old shed project Mini's with little rust usually don't drop below £500 quid.

Austin Mini seems too good for the price..

I wish the 172 didn't need it's belts doing, i'd be buying that today as long as the chassis isn't too rusty. I'd be stripping it down and fully rebuilding it mint, then drop in a 1275 engine and gearbox. Really want a Mini project. :(

    Really!?!

Cool guns, I want guns on mine....

    Carbon splitter

I quite like that tbh, but I agree with Knuckles on the chicken wire, mesh is a good idea you just need something a bit better. On the whole though it's a good effort mate. :approve:

    Thank You

Ah right God knows who brought them then, it was weird when I finally sobered up and found my cool box had almost as much booze in it than when I started.

    Thank You

Did you bring all the Strongbow to CSS Toby? The left over cans ended up in my cool box, I drank one the other night and it tasted like piss. :dapprove:

Mini Cooper was the best by far for me, nearly everything else looked like it had a broken rear axle.

Hit & Run on my 172

If it's just panel damage, whack it back into some sort of shape from the inside and just carry on driving it. If you're money's tied up in the car, then you're going to have to start saving all over again, eventually when you get a replacement, stick a roll cage in the old one, strip it out...

ABS + SERVICE + OTHER LIGHT..... Found guide but h=just checking.....

Yep you'll need a French car specialist with Renault diagnostic equipment, probably cost about £20 to check for fault codes, don't go to Renault they'll charge you a fortune. Unless there's a member in your area with an up to date RSTuner box and correct software, they can check for fault...

ABS + SERVICE + OTHER LIGHT..... Found guide but h=just checking.....

You pull it all the way out, then pressing the brake pedal will adjust it to the correct depth, the brake pedal switch only controls when your brake lights come on. You may need to check the abs sensors/cables aswell, the first time mine said SERV/ABS/ESP it needed a new one on one side.

Hit & Run on my 172

No problem, it's a sh*t thing to happen mate and i'd be angry and upset if it was mine, so we all feel for you dude. Hope your luck improves my friend.

Hit & Run on my 172

Possibly but bare in mind that's best case scenario, depends on how good you are with the spanners and how many bit's you can remove. I'd just drive it for the time being, untill you get £1.5-£2.5k together for a decent replacement. Depending on your financial situation, you could pound it...

Hit & Run on my 172

I'd say with that kind of damage I doubt you'd get more than a grand selling it as is, if you break it you'll make more than that I would think, a good engine depending on mileage, belts etc, goes for £500-£850, everything else on the car is saleable except the passenger door. If you stripped...

Hit & Run on my 172

One saving grace is the car's still drivable, you could take the rear door card out and try pushing the worst of it out with your foot or something. It'll still look like sh*t and it'll do your head in everyday looking at it, but you've still got a working car to use whilst you get funds for...

Whats wrong with your car right now??

Mine seems to have developed a metallic rattle, it sounds like an exhaust gasket to me, as it goes away once the car/exhaust heats up.
