Hit & Run on my 172

If it's going to cost you £1K or above to fix it, it may just be worth throwing in the towel and buying another 172, you can use the dented one as a donor car for parts, or break it and claw some money back.

Regular West Midlands Meet - See Calendar

I'm sorry to say lads but I don't think i'll be making it tonight, my Mum's having a new driveway put down and she's asked if I can go round and help her tidy up this evening. Family > Everyone else.

Iceberg and a few cheeky mods.

I need a cup spoiler for my Iceburg really finishes the boot off nicely, also I hate to admit it, but anthracite Turini's really do look bloody good on it.

    GW 200 Stratford Upon Avon

Bloke in a GW 200 waved at me as I was driving out of Stratford Upon Avon on the Warwick RD A439, I was in an Iceburg 172 going in the opposite direction. It gave me a nice little feeling, as I gave up waving at RS Clio's quite some time ago, as people would just look at me like I was mad...

    A few from Blackpool

My kind of people those, what i'd describe as 'normal' people, it's all the Ben Sherman wearing tossers that freak me out. I'd love a go on the bird in the second to last picture, she's like a punk version of Billy Piper.

    Black Ph Quick A46

It really was quite shiny mate, I was impressed as it takes dedication to keep a ph1 in that good a nick. Also how many Mk1 Cortinas were on the road today? Some kind of Ford festival on I think, I was drooling so much I nearly swerved out of my lane. :o Have you ever been to one of the West...

    Black Ph Quick A46

About 9:45 on the way to Stratford Upon Avon, very tidy Black Ph1 172 on the A46, being driven by a bloke with a shaved head and glasses. No CS stcker, but it was such a nice example it's obviously looked after. Worth a post I think.

Monaco looks perfect, just give the grill a coat of satin black, it's looking a bit faded.

    Battery fault ? (Dan@519)

Mine does this relay clicking thing, but it has a new battery that's fully charged. Plus the key fob works every time, the weird thing is if I turn the ignition on for 30secs, it'll start perfectly. But if I keep trying to turn the key without a break it won't start for ages.

The CSS pic thread (warning: contains little to no photographs)

Re: The CSS pic thread People showed up to CSS with their girlfriends, no-one said sh*t to them or their gf's, but when pics were posted of peoples birds, scared virgins that don't talk to women started taking the piss or going on about what they'd do to them. It's seems some people can only...

    Car really bouncy?

Yep, rear shocks. Mine was doing it when I bought it, but the seller threw in a set of dampers with the car, swapped them over, bounciness disappeared.
