So many people are having this problem at the moment, including me.
I'm almost convinced it's the starter motor, but reading your posts has worried me now,
mine only has the relay clicking in the morning or after it's been left to sit for a few hours.
I'll keep an eye on this thread in the...
The first thing i'd do is spend £20quid down your local tyre place for a wheel alignment,
it may just be that simple mate.
It's only £20quid and it will either eliminate the problem, or rule it out so you can look elsewhere.
Yes, the boot lock just pushes and pulls a metal rod,
so if you climb into the back you can push or pull it yourself. (can't remember which one opens)
If you have a spare day or afternoon, you can get all the spraying and lacquering done and refit it same day,
you just have to be very careful...

then pull it off from the outside.....done!
I've recently...
Holy sh*t that looks bad, got to be some fatalities there. :(
Unless they rear ended the Passat, got out, then the car was destroyed by another vehicle,
hope so or a family out there is in for a bad year.
This morning i've found a small patch of coolant under the rad,
it wasn't doing it yesterday, it's literally started over night. :dapprove:
So that's something else that need sorting before the 9th,
I thought the thing was ready seeing as it's just had new tie rods & track rod ends.
I'm...
Discovered that over night it's decided to start leaking coolant from somewhere at the front. :dapprove:
Hopefully it's just a perished hose that given up due to the heat.
That's one hell of a f*cking noise the thing makes!!
Although I don't think Renault will be happy until the front Diamond on their new cars is the size of a dustbin lid. :S
