I'll never get rid of mine, unless the engines blows up and it's cheaper to buy a replacement,
but i'd have to get one with the same mods, so doubtful tbh.
I've just had too many good times in it and I kind of feel the same way about it as I do about my dog,
it's sort of feels like part of me...

Sounds like it's knackered tbh, standard 172 exhausts are meant to be quiet in comparison to an aftermarket exhaust.
Forgive me for asking but are you sure it's a standard exhaust?
This one's off a 182 but the backbox design is the same.

After I changed my ball joints the other month turn in was a sh*t load better,
although it has now shown up how worn my track rods are now, I can feel a little clunk on hard cornering.
It was an advisery on the last mot tbf, so I know it needs sorting.

I take it the quick release pins on the bumper replace the standard catches to aid access to all the aftermarket gubbings?
Well from new mine took a month or two to settle,
although seeing as they're secondhand i'd have thought they've already compressed as much as they're going to.
Well seeing as the rears are a piece of piss to change,
you could put the standards on just to see if the balance is diabolical or something you could live with,
then put the sportlines on straight afterwards and compare the two.
Although I accept no responsibility if you wrap it round a lamp...

Are they new sportlines?
If they are they take a little bit of time to settle,
my prolines which sit a little higher took a good while to settle to the correct height.
I see the new Range Rover about 3 or 4 times a week when as I work in Stratford Upon Avon,
I think the A46 that connects Coventry to Stratford is a test route for them,
i've seen it broken down a couple of times aswell. lol
