Drivers side or passenger side shaft? If it’s the passenger side shaft, I’d be amazed if it hasn’t killed your box as well. The needle rollers fall inside the box and the gears chew/grind them up.

My advice - make sure you get your monies worth out of that auc warranty mate!! You’re pretty much covered for everything except tyres, brakes and rattles. ??
He’s a generic parts manufacturer the same as mahle and payen etc etc. Karl Schmidt is one of the better ones out there though. The likes of INA however, are not.
All depends on if it’s a refresh, or you’ve replaced the pistons and rods with aftermarket items. If you have, it’s a world of potential pain with an f4r
