The 182 manifold is a different length it doens't match up at the same place the 172 one does to the cat.
I think the best ide is to get a 172 cat cut to fit or get a bit of pipe made to fit.
Low dust doesn't seem to go well with good brakes.
Personally I'd stick with stock FDB845 from Halfords etc (there stock and very good realy) or if you want to spend a bit more DS2500's but there £60 or so vs £17 for stock FDB845 pads.
Kirsten I'd recomend getting someoen out. I'm not to bad with PCs but I tried setting up a wireless network at home for weeks ended up getting a technitial to come and fix it did it in 10 minutes and no problems since.
I've got the same problem i've no idea what my passwrod is so if the PC crashes i'm stuck is there anyway of finding out the password at the moment I'm ok as it auto loggs on.
Mostl likly the speed sensor on the gearbox has some loose or the connector on it.
Look under the car at the back of the gearbox theres a sensor in the gearbox.
Why not take him to a phase 1 172 and get him to sit in then give him £4.5k in a pile of cash and say its this or no cash and a 182.
Either that or kick him.
As Maz said so long as they use original Renault parts and stamp the book and are VAT registered then no effects.
However if they stamp the book and don't do the full service eg don't check the ball joints and they later fail Renault could refuse the warently claim and say its the garage who...
It will apparently be release in Cup spec (will end up much like the 182 Cup IMO not the 172 Cup style). However thats one year away probably maybe 6 month depends most likly how sales do.
Its been moved to the Cliosport guides area here.

Well my old setup was hard realy (bit of a freeky one no other Clio was that hard) I was holping the bilstine would be the same but there not quite as hard. There still very good though and I'm glad I did upgrade as they should last longer but given the choice I might have liked to go back to...
Group n maps are just maps which have differetn maps to deal with group N racing cars which means that the engine has to remain standard excpet for intake and an exhaust. Its not an optimum maps for your car and the mods just an off the shelf for the Clio they originally made the map for.
Don't worry about it its a great day out (even better if its not wet) don't worry abotu your car ther'll be load of other owners who take the same car of there cars as you would.
I've only ever used the halfords and Renault ones. I think the Halfords uprated beams are the Philips ones if so well they last about twice as long from my experiances.
It depends what garaeg you go to but you'll find ones who use stuff which does need to get round your tyre if you ask about.
Or you could just do it yourself.
Nope no harm some people say 98 helps the idle of the engine and gives more mpg.
Renault sold the 172 in countried where 98Ron couldn't even be purchased.
Yepo swop the ABS sensors but few breakers remove the sensor so you just plug the new ones in.
Only another 4 nuts to undo to fit differetn hubs 5 if you chnage the ball joint at the same time.
1.2 8V use the 52mm hubs the rest of the phase 2 mk2's use 58mm hubs excpet the Renault Sports.
