Mesh is seperate on my pipercross insert mate i was like that from new..a bit pikey to be fair. It cant be sucked in as mesh seals top and bottom of the box
Thats a bad run of luck mate ? on the upside alloy bonnet is a worthy upgrade.
What happened to the pipercross? Foam started disintegrating ? Mrs 225 has had one on for many years by the looks of it, was fitted by previous owner. Looked great from the top - took it off last year and the end had...
Inner tie rods are definitely worth doing if not been replaced before. You can rebush the oem track control arms cheap and easy enough if you want to spend the time doing them.
Ps3s are far better than t1r, you wont be dissapointed. I had a set on my old turinis and handling was great in the wet & dry. The only downside i found was they fall to bits when used on track in dry weather.
The vibratechnics mounts are alright to be fair, no massive vibration on idle etc on mine. Quite compliant compared to solid mounts which i have ran on other cars.
New gearbox mount should sort it out though.
Gearbox mount probably knackered when you remove it. Mine used to move a bit with powerflex dog bone and new top mount. Gearbox mount was shot when removed.
Replaced both top mount and gearbox mount for vibratechnics. One of the best mods i have done to be fair
I wonder how the v6 espace airbox compares to the above?
I have tried a couple of different setups on mine - have also noted that low down torque feels better with stock ph2 box compared to v6 and ph1setup. Top end pull feels better with the latter though.
Had the tailpipe trim on the megane hydrodipped so chucked the steering wheel insert in at the same time to tidy it up as was roughly painted black before
Fitted with ebay Renaultsport sticker
Not bad for a daft £5 as already paid for the materials on the tailpipe trim.
Cleaned up and ready...
Its a doddle to do both, Support engine and remove/refit. Change the upper cambelt cover its easy to do. I have retapped one and used a longer bolt to get me away but not ideal.
Yours not sorted yet mate ? I cant believe it still had just over half a tank of fuel left after going on track. Mpg had only dropped to 26? drove home on the fuel left in and still got 50 miles left on the range. Runs on fresh air compared to the meganes !
After 5-6 laps the power was not there with the PBS, was suffering a bit of fade and spongey brake pedal. Felt like when you work oem pads too hard and gas causes the pedal to go spongey. Very average at best quite overhyped, pads were broken in properly so should be working to spec,
Got a set...
Daily dci was starting to look a little unloved as not been cleaned for at least 8 weeks. Give it a wash, quick decontamination, polish with SRP by hand and a coat of Finish Kare 1000p wax. Trims had a quick coat of AG bumper gel on as thats all i had in stock, need to get some more gtechniq c4...
Not sure really, sound deadening was in good nick. I thought it was a poor quality aftermarket bonnet but appeared to be oem with 2004 sticker on when removed.
Won a couple of goodies in the raffle ?
The aftermath brake dust central
Front wheels
Brake pedal had a lot of travel and handbrake had a lot of clicks so whipped drums off and reset the crappy self adjusters and checked shoes. Quite a bit of meat has worn off the shoes so adjusted the bar...
Cs Festival done !
All cleaned up before
Quick stop on the a19 for a Costa(lot)
Brimmed the tank with Tesco 99 at Scunthorpe, 38-39mpg no problem on way there
Typically rained most of the journey there so ruined most of the cleaning efforts
Kangoo went fairly well on track - no massive...
If the only option is going through insurance you need to think about if you want the car to have a cat marker on it. New wing and paint wont cost much.
