Well having had a box in for repair that had atf in it, I can guarantee 100% that it's far to slippery for the jc5 synchros.

If you put atf in a jc5 you'll f**k it.

The damage could've been caused by anything mate tbh. Bit of debris that made its way in, or signs of a clutch failing. Is it a runner now?

No problem. You will save yourself a few £'s mate, but you'll struggle to halve the price imo. If you are fitting it yourself, obviously you have no labour charges to pay, but keep yourself open to a drive in drive out service from the likes of engine dynamics.

Take the vacuum pipe off at the throttle body. That'll up the idle speed enough for it not to be an issue.

That could be the compensator valve mate. @George@RTR_Parts can supply these as well I believe.

It's located just to the right of the dipstick tube. Can be seen in this pic - silver item is the locking pin.

I had the forge hoses on mine and they came with a set of jubilee clips. The clamps on the Renault hoses are fine for normal rubber, but I'd definitely replace them if using silicone hoses.

Bigash ran no stat in until I convinced him it was needed. He shrouded the rad at the same time and got a noticeable drop in ct's mate.

You'll need top mounts or adjustable wishbone bushes mate to adjust the castor. Toe - 10 to 15mins Camber - start at 3 degrees and see what the tyre temps are like.
