I just took my son out and he noticed that at the ‘sweet spot’ for the vibe/ noise when you talk it even makes your voice change.
Must admit today it wasn’t as bad as my hissy fit yesterday. It had the seats down yesterday as was full off spares when the guy dropped it off. That must have...
I think the harmonics are just so offensive made worse by the ‘uprated’ engine and box mounts. It’s almost like a frequency of a big sub vibrating bass and it goes right through your head, I could never drive it any distance. It’s not just the volume it’s the type of noise and vibration at...
This may be my next move which is why I was pondering the effect of a resonated Ktec system very mine ie would having one welded in even hell.
Will visit my local place and see what’s the largest box they can fit.
I would mate but she’s done all my shopping for me so gotta deliver that (which she’ll be pleased about too as she won’t be able to park near my house as I’ve littered the area with imprezas and Clios now).
I’ll wait til she’s on top before I pull her hair & tell her she paid for the latest...
Oh god, I didn’t think about that.
It made me appreciate my std car even more. Only reason I wanted another was because my std car is so original and felt guilty about tracking it and thinking about mods to make it ‘better’. So I find one with some mods and think it can be stripped out and a...
This is ridiculous. It’s been over an hour and I’m left with a headache for the rest of the day. It’s not so much the db but the resonance, I feel like it’s fried my head. I can’t even drive it until I can rectify it, it’s so bad.
The mad thing is I bought it for a track car to go in with a...
Does anyone have a resonated Ktec stealth system with stock cat?
If so, is it much louder than stock?
I have just acquired another 172 & it has a decat & non res Ktec stealth system! My god it’s literally deafening loud and the resonance is unbearable, like really, really bad. I’ve got a...
I have a stock black FF 172 and always thought it’s the worst looking std clio sport. Don’t get me wrong I love the car but the stock wheels almost make it indistinguishable from a bogo model clio IMO.
I think Turinis look great on them.
You need to get the battery tested properly, drop tested, CCA tested... not just voltage. I’d imagine even Halfords do a free health check? (They should have a little computer like mine where you input the battery’s CCA and connect it up, it’ll tell you what the actual health of your battery...
I’d echo what crazylegs said.
I have two 172’s and one is standard, one is modded with poly stuff, springs etc and it’s as horrible as it is awesome to drive (if that makes any sense). I certainly wouldn’t move from OE if it’s your daily. You’ll get a lot of vibration with updated engine &...
Dont know if it’s like the makita one I’ve got but mine uses a jack plug on the jacket which then goes to the makita battery adaptor and battery.
I’ve got these 12v battery packs I use for my night vision scopes for shooting. Got them off eBay and they have the jack plugs built on. Tried them...
Awesome car (and driving going by the pics on 3!)
Did laugh at this! Reminded me I went to fix an oil leak on a 964 911 and was fussing over the jacking (as you would with someone’s nice porsche) in his yard at work. Bloke went “wait there” next thing he flies in with a forklift, straight...
Watching them in the metal round track the other week, Clios at full tilt (impressive as ever) and megs just casual as you like able to slip up the inside and power away like they weren’t even trying.
I wouldn’t bother personally. I wouldn’t be tracking it with a top mount (but then I wouldn’t be tracking an impreza) and that updated one is probably pretty decent.
I have had front mounts and nothing wrong per-say but it’s just much neater with the top mount and less likely to rub something...
I’d like to think you’re right but sadly I think you’re wrong, otherwise ‘Fabian’ should be a Hollywood actor.
Adding as...
A quick search on YT shows a vid from 5 months ago with them in his ‘unit’
I wouldn’t let him top up my washer bottle but I’d imagine he prob offered a silly cheap deal...
Would you properly play them though?
It always sounds like a good idea but whenever I’ve gone back to old games (with this romantic feel) I’ve played them for 5 mins and realised it’s best left a memory.
I dug out my N64 a while back, waxing lyrical to my son and the tumbleweed was large...
I’ve seen a couple of DMO vids out of morbid curiosity more than anything but he’s acting pure bully boy all the time now.
He bought a crap civic then started a hate campaign against the lad he bought it off, making vids constantly shouting “fcuk stu” & even saying he was doing merch with the...
Only thing I’m interested in is Far Cry, big fan of those. I will say the last one was annoying when it’d drag you into those side games with faith, had to get my son to do those as I’d have smashed it.
Last game that almost tipped me over the edge that hard was Mario Sunshine.
ha, yeah I can imagine! Having owned a few cossies though I can say I don’t blame you. They might not have the kudos of a cossie but they sure as hell are fun to drive for what they’re worth. The fact you don’t have to worry about them being nicked or damaged is handy too.
I absolutely love the...
Bought some MAC RBRT Hex sockets the other day, don’t have a dealer here but managed to track one down who kindly mail ordered them. Worth a look if you’re in the trade. Saves much grief as Hex bolts can be a pain when people have partially rounded or the stubborn drop link hex when you’ve got...
