How high is the gear lever when your hand is on it to select gear mate?
Maybe a side on shot with your hand on the steering wheel and one on your gear lever would give you a good pic. You'll obviously need an assistant to take the pic though!
Whereas I'm only a 2-3 second walk away from mine! I've got 4 gearboxes in for rebuild and Quaife diff fitting so they're taking up space atm. I've only got the bell and rotor setup to buy now and I'm about done!

Once you've got the upper inlet off etc, you'll find there's loads of room tbf. I also took my alternator and brackets off before lifting it out just to gain even more space, but it's not totally necessary.
The loom stays in the car. When I took mine out I unplugged all the sensors and laid the loom over the n/s headlight. After that it's a case of unbolting the exhaust manifold, coolant pipes off, driveshafts out (drain the gear oil first - saves a mess when you pop the n/s shaft out), unbolt the...
So just to clarify, are you fitting a new belt kit, or reusing the old one? I'm trying to understand why your idler pulley has broken up if it's new - I'm assuming it's the original one that's done this?
The genuine renault belt kit comes with the new spacers to go with the new idler rollers...
Ah they're probably the nylon rear top mounts I'm thinking? I started that off ages ago!! Just made sets for me and BIGASH though as there wasn't enough demand for a full scale run of them.

Yes the oe rear dampers are also m9x1. Why the f**k they decided that was the way forward I'll never know. A bit like using m7 bolts on the sump. Dicks.
