Well it's certainly doable, but it's also expensive. I personally think it's unnecessary as you just don't change the rear discs often enough.
Cheers mate! Well yeah I suppose so. The stub axles are something I've been working on for a few years believe it or not! There's a potential that these...
I'm glad to see that you've decided to keep it and store it then mate, because honestly, the only thing that will sell reasonably easy is the sadev. Your prices are 100% realistic, but you'll still have all and sundry trying to kick you square in the b****cks for stuff mate!! Then the whole...
You can buy the car but you can't buy the driver? Yep, said it a lot of times myself. I run the Ast 5100's/sportline 2's. They are filled with awesome sauce. Lol
Don't do it! You actually need a heavier flywheel on a boosted motor to help it build boost.
197 head would be the way to go and run the constantly variable vvt that it has, but there's not many cam profiles to choose from, and I don't know how much you'll gain from it tbh. You'd gain more from...
Flol!!
Excellent mate. I've put a request/suggestion in with gripper that they add a taper to the diff so it makes getting the seal on a bit easier.
Hit the limiter in 5th yet??
Thanks for the kind words mate! Very much appreciated.
I can't bodge stuff - if it's not right it's just not right. Good job I'm not your average box builder eh! Lol!
How's the selector shaft seal holding out?
I think a lot of it will come down to the oil properties tbh as that plate won't do anything other than stop the casings twisting.
All just my opinion though and happy to be put right if I'm wrong!
Lol!!
What plate would that be then mate? I don't know of one with 2 holes in tbh?? I'm assuming you've got confused with either the renfort plate (which isn't needed with an aftermarket diff) or the reinforcement plate that requires machining to the casings.
I didn't use the latter as I...
Don't be put off mate, it's not just Curtis that can refurb them. He's a genuinely nice guy tbf and that's why it makes it so much more frustrating when he doesn't do as he promises.
It's not far off at all. Blyton is about half way between sunny scunny and my home town of Lincoln.
Welcome to the club @craigo!! And more importantly, excellent choice! The mans choice allegedly. Lol
I run Ast sportline 2's or 5100's as they're now know and I'm on 450 fronts and 475 rears. It's a tad to soft on the fronts now, but it's nothing awful. I'm actually considering upping the fronts and dropping the rears slightly. Not decided 100% yet though.
Still nothing to update on the engine front I'm afraid sports fans. Been busy the past few weeks with other things like sorting out the caliper brackets and other bits and pieces, so I've not had a chance to even attempt to look at the cup!!
I have however got a few exciting things in the...
