Semi group n is the inlet cam only. Full group n is inlet advanced and exhaust retarded.
So was it the inlet or the exhaust that was out? I'll show you the Grp n cam timing tool tomorrow when you collect the box.
Yeah that's one of the reasons I opted to go with this cage mate, as I knew I would be going to rear coilovers.
Yeah they come with some preformed plates for the cage to sit on. No boxes at all. You have to drill holes in the floor pan for the tubes to pass through though so it can be fully...
Yeah it's a good cage tbh mate. I fitted mine myself and all the ends came profiled and none required any alteration. When I got mine it was classed as a CL4 kit and they've since added the x door bars and harness bar. I had to make and fit those myself, but it wasn't an issue as I wanted the x...
Do you mean mtl? Yeah it's not cheap! Lol! Ok buddy. I'll be aiming for it to be back together and ready to collect this weekend. Will confirm tomorrow though, as that's when I'll be firing the lid back on it.
Good holiday?
I don't have any experience of their kits in terms of fitting/reliability, but they've been producing them for quite a while now. If there's any issues I'd like to think that they've been overcome now.
I think it's safe to say that the dog teeth on the gears will be substantially stronger than...
Not if you were to run 197 pistons and cams. They can be had for less than £400 secondhand.
The rs2 is more suited to a standard engine as well really - not saying it won't work high comp/high lift though.
Here's another one for you @bashracing! Seal arrived yesterday and was fitted this morning.
Look on the lower left hand side of the casing and you can see where I've had to relieve it to allow the new crownwheel to turn!
What you can't see is something that's quite dramatic - a potential perma...
Tbf mate, a lot of that will pull out. You can get good access into that particular area with a hammer and dolly. Then it's just a case of skim it and paint.
Your likely to pay a fair bit to get it done though. I'd say around £1500 from my own experience (had a similar thing pulled out on my...
Your better off setting it up in the neutral position with a assistant mate. Allow the gear selector at the gearbox to go to the neutral position, then get your assistant to hold it in the stick in the neutral position in the car. Tighten it all up and check the selection. That's how I always do...
Cheers mate! Well we have options on the seal tbh. If Renault don't have one I can get one sorted out off eBay. Same as the Renault item as well.
Sound mate. I'm aiming for it to be done for the weekend or sooner, so I'll keep you posted.
Thought I'd upload these pictures in here for Mr bashracing!
Here's the gripper pinion along with new 3rd, 4th and reverse gears. This one shows the size of the new gripper diff and crownwheel. This required modification of the gearbox casing to get it to fit! Lol! Then we had a small...
They're different sizes for the loom mate. The original loom doesn't go all the way to the post cat, as its the post cat that has the longer length lead.
