I had the oil/filter changed on my new 172 after 1500 miles, just after a track day, and as a precaution (after running in). Good job too, as the car was delivered from new with only 2/3rd oil in it! Ill be changing the oil every 6k, just for the peace of mind...but strictly speaking the first...
Yup, std offset on the Mk2 172 is 48.5mm. The Cup brochure states that the track is wider front and rear (10mm and 20mm I think?) so youll need 17s with the correct offset for your own Cup. Check your existing alloys - the offset should be stamped either on the edge or in the centre. Id be...

Is it just me, or does it take ages to get past 120 (on a private road, of course!)...
Also, the suspension setup is a tad nervous at that speed, especially on a sweeping bend...

Really? I never knew that about the Unichip - who told you that, may I ask?
Maybe itd be worth hassling Nick @ HillPower to build you a custom ECU, or speak to Superchips here? There must be someone in the UK with 172 mapping experience?? Either way, Ill ask a friend of mine, who is a demon...
Nice one Roamer! I noticed that Green Filters offer a similar setup to the Viper, called a Twister....not carbon mind, but only £80!
It might be worth you getting the car onto a rolling road as AKs car ran lean at the top end with the new NH filter.....you might have the same problem with the...
