I cant see why people pay over £200 for oil, oilfilter and airfilter, at that price you may as well do it yourself and not bother with FRSH as the money you lose not having one is going to be the same as the costs of paying renault. Its daylight robbery i tells ya!
Officially its 625miles no higher than 3500k.
Most people agree, including clued up engineers suggest you should vary the rpm and load the engine to bed it in. Id say as long as your not bouncing off the limiter in every gear, a bit of hard driving wont do it any harm.
Is that caledonian michael? Try Delta in Maidehead, thats where i get mine done.
Do you live, work or both in slough as there is a meet you might want to get yourself along too on tuesday.
HOT AND WARM RUNNING HATCHES
Fiesta 1.6 16V ZETEC-S £11,595; 0-60:9.9; Ins: 7 v Fiesta 2.0 16V ST £13,595; 0-60:7.9; Ins: 13
THE hottest Fiesta really isnt hot enough to cut the mustard. Save your insurance money and go for the warm one. Neither is brilliant but the Zetec-S has a friendly...
I almost got done on a DC, in the outside lane i slammed the anchors on was going 60ish in a 40. Didnt get me, so i presume i either got down to the speed limit in time (unlikely) or the machine can only get 1 lane at a time. Start praying if its the later mate, you might be ok!
So somewhere between £120-200 for an oil filter, airfilter, oil and a stamp. I understand there is a charge to dispose of the oil and labour costs, but its still damn expensive.
Ayyyyyyy! You got it then mate.
Yeah, mine would have been £150 as ive got an ITG on (so no airfilter change), supplied my own oil (as above) and only required an oil filter.
Stooopidly, they took the cost of the oil of when quoting me the price, and then took it off again when i paid for...
I find that the 172 is just about perfect. A tiny bit of spin and not to intrusional unless you hammered, in which case you want it off anyway.
Dont drive round with mine on most fo the time, as i prefer to be the one adjusting things rather than the car.
As Roamer says, on the panel above the cubby hole should be 3 (or on yours could just be one) as the other 2 are TC/ESP and Cruise control. If you only have one its going to be the dash light adjustment

Welcome, optimax is the only one to use, yes the rattles come as standard, yes it usually happens around 3-4K revs, yes you should replace the tyres with the same Mich pilots, yes dealers on the whole arent that helpful, yes its one of the best cars on the road, yes fully synth oil is fine and...
Get a 172 as you already have a track car and its nice to have a bit of leather, CC and sound proofing. For the cash your not likely to get cruise as std as it came out on late 53s (It became std in the august, so some of them dont have it). Horses for courses really, stripped out road/track car...
Too many track days Jon, or your driving it properly! ;)
Didnt say anything on my 12K, i presume they werent that bad. Or im not driving it properly:cry:
