Alpine 9855r. Got one aswell, brilliant units! although a little bit complicated for my liking. I prefer the old 'Bass + or -' 'Treble + or -' so to speak. I dont have the patience to correct each speaker timing to the micro-second!!

Lol! Well i went to halfords and bought a 300ml can of plastic primer (grey), 500ml of Audi Metallic Silver paint, 500ml of Clear Laquer and a 300ml Can of Satin Black. Just finished the primer, will spray them tomorrow and then laquer them on wednesday. Ill post up some pics of the finished...

Oh right, so it doesnt have to be specific interior paint. Can it be pretty much any paint as you are using primer and laquer?

If you purchase the incartec adaptors you dont have to take the dash off at all. Just plugs straight into the standard renault ones (the yellow block one as well) As for it not working, a wire has probably fallen out as you were pushing the unit back in. I had this with the radio connection on mine.

I dont think its possible once you have it as an mp3 track. You need the original file with all the separate audio tracks. The mp3 file merges all the audio together as one track. I think anyway.

You would have a booming business if you were to do this! If you are a single man doing it as an on the side thing you are likely to be 100 times cheaper than a spray shop. People on here always want bits and bobs sprayed. As long as you can convince people you are good at what you do.

It may sound kinda pedantic but what is the best silver paint to use for spraying interior bits (Gearknob, Handbrake Button etc) I mean is it a sort of chrome or matte silver...... Just wanna make sure i get the right colour when i spray these items.

Quite likely to be the fuse i think. My mate had the same thing when he got his two alpine type r subs installed. Now he keeps a spare fuse with him all the time!

If you really want some bass, you will hae to get a subwoofer. Alpine do a pretty nice one that fits under the seat of your car, fairly compact and takes up no boot space! If you just want a little bit of bass then id recommend the new alpine type r door speakers - £75 for the coaxials or £109...

I wanna give mine a proper good clean at some point. Probaby in the summer holidays i will spend a couple days just cleaning it. Like you said, taking out the seats, trying to source any rattles. Replace/spray any scratched bits etc etc..
