To be honest, there are way too many cars on here to judge which is the best.
Everyone is slightly biased as well, we all have our separate opinions as to what is nice as well.
The majority of cars on this forum are extremely nice. To join a forum specific to your car in the first place has got...
There really is no need to have such a big box.
A nice little sealed enclosure (perhaps ported) will give you very powerful deep bass.
Reminds me of those huuggeee boxes you see in halfords with a "fli" sub in them. £49 for 1000w peak power. About 80w RMS.
Taylor what is that?
Whatever it is...
The mk2 ph2 (If thats what you mean)came out in 2001. There are some out there on a y plate but most are from 51 onwards.
I reckon you could pick up a decent one for around £2700. (51 plate)
yeah you can change the db on the crossover. ive got it at '0db' right now.
Ive got the Alpine 9855r head unit. Only just got that as well, havent quite got the hang of all the settings yet so maybe there is something in there.
Is there any way i can 'turn' down the tweeters, so to speak.
The speakers themselves are perfect, its just when i have them at a relatively high volume the tweeters start to emit a high pitched crackling sorta sound?
Surely they shouldnt be doing that.
Thanks
Nick
Fantastic! Thanks for going to all that trouble and cutting yourself for me. Lol.
Just to clarify, is that fifth and sixth pin up including the empty pins at the bottom?
Right, after recieving my new alpine type r component speakers today for my front door i attempted to fit them.
I have fitted the door speakers and connected them. I have mounted the tweeters and attached them to the crossover.
The only thing left is connecting the crossover box to the door...
Nice! sounds like a fairly good result.
The modem will be able to handle anything theoretically. Its the cable that runs into and out of the modem that might not be able to handle the speed. It should be able to though.
My virgin internet seems to be running very slowly lately. Isnt looking...
please do Doug! thinking of dropping mine about 35mm-40mm.
Wasnt sure whether to just do springs or suspension kit.
Cant really afford coileys and dont see the point on this car.
i saw that a while back on eBay. Maybe its the same guy trying to sell it again because nobody wanted it on eBay.
I believe it said in the title "The First Fully Modified MK3 Clio In The UK"
Your best bet would be to get something sealed with a relocation pipe to the front grill.
Id recommend the Pipercross Viper. A bit expensive but is supposed to be very good.
Correct. That is what you want.
Although my list would be as follows:
1 Aftermarket Head Unit
1 set of 13cm component speakers for the front doors (Powered by the head unit)
1 set of 13cm coaxial speakers for the rear (Powered by the head unit)
1 Subwoofer and a pre-fabricated or home-made box...
That looks really good. Wouldnt mind giving it a go myself one day.
Change your alpine backlight to blue to go with it... If that one lets you have blue?
