don't really know what to say. 172/182 clio's are alot of fun if you like the car but sounds like the novelty has worn off for you. probably best getting something you love and enjoy
thanks murcod. I've removed the whole system etc and car is running better just off idle. the tank vents to the filler cap aswell. that's why there are 2 pipes running into the tank.
I've spoken to gdi, k-tec and renault and it is fine to remove.
Hi all, i've removed the charcoal filtering system and blocked the inlet piping off neatly. There is less bogging just off idle. Wonderful EU regulations etc. My advice to anyone wanting to save a couple of kg's of dead weight then remove it all.
As useless as the inlet valve fitted to feed...
Has anyone removed this fuel vapour system from their car etc? It seems to be thereonly to push air/fuel vapur inot the air inlet system after the throttle body which I think hampers performance and makes the air/fuel ratio unstable at low rpm/idle.
Anyone got any views comments on this system...
I've spoken to a couple of garages and they won't touch the 172/182/trophy. as long as they have the specialist tools then it's fine.
sorry, didn't know the garage you spoke of was a renault specialist.
good luck! :-)
well said that man. I found this out aswell last month. basically if a car is doesn't have a particular item fitted, it won't be checked for or tested.(apart from emissions ie cat)
I've read a couple of articles on this and it's best just to run fronts vs rears. don't bother swapping worn tyres to the rear as it makes the rear more unstable at speed/braking. Basically the rear needs better tyre tread depth to cope with the forces as the back of the car is being trailered...
If I'm parked up and I turn the steering from left lock to right lock there is a single knock sound. Same happens when I turn from right to left full lock.
Only happens while parked/not moving.
Any idea's??
I've got standard springs with koni shocks.
