Wouldnt pay £15688 for a 182 myself but a friend of mine has bought a Mini One over 5 years HP and in the end will pay back £17k we worked out. Hes got a rubbish rate of 14.5% with BMW finance or something.
Frosty got his cup at 19 and was paying about 1800.
Is the Cup higher than 172s and 182s?
I just ran though some sample quotes and the 172 was lower. Only about £30 though.

A 106 GTi (or Saxo VTS) is 120bhp (or 130bhp if you find a lucky one) but it weights next to nothing so I think its about 1.5 secs quicker to 60 than a C2. I think the C2 VTS engine is similar but with a new head to get round current emissions rules. EVO did give the C2 VTS a very good write up...

Although I have to say your 1.2 is proberbly the nicest in the club (that and Spammys) imo.
Mods are tasteful and it doesnt have wiff of Chav about it.
Id count that as a lovely first car.
and of course fit some Turinis.;)...
