    my standard alarm keeps going off, (172 ph1)the plip unlocks the car but the alarm goes off as soon as i open the door. it starts and drives fine but the alarm will not disarm. all suggestions gratefully recieved i'm a diesel mechanic but i'm crap at electrics :(

    also, increasing brake pressure to the rear would result in reduced front lock up, the clio does sod all braking on the back as standard

    its sounds fucked up but possibly fit an optima battery they weigh nearly double the standard one keep themselves up for ages and of course it sits on the n/s...counterbalence???

    most of the weight is on the o/s driver sits there, the baulk of the engine is offset to that side, the fuel tank & filler is also offset to the o/s so is the spare wheel! result under heavy braking the n/s wheel locks up first because it has less weight on it pushing it into the tarmac. weight...

    damage is already done, the pistons will have pushed the valves out of the way when the belt failed. no point keep turning it over though

    probably not damaged pistons on that engine, defo bent most of the valves i'd charge £500-£800 (so long as damage is valves only) to whip the head off pop in some valves ect ect and put it back on the road

    offers in the region of the plenium chamber i think its the one on the right as you look at it. but i will be corrected in 'bout 10 sec LOL don't for f***s sake fit one of those shite resistors

    if you look at the area circled yellow you'll see it is damp up there too, so its coming from above the condenser

    the second sensor (downstream one) runs the toxic fume lamp on the dash and is gay the first sensor (upstream one) runs the engine basically

    any oxygen sensors upstream of the cat must be fitted to the new one. is there not a hole in your decat for it?
