not had any problems with mine either, but i do alter the air feed slightly in the winter & put it back in the summer. i got the inlet thingy off ebay for a fiver :)

hi, welcome the 172 is noisy, rattly, a bit short on headroom but the seat does adjust downwards, you cant fit a cat in the boot and when you fold the seats down you've got nowhere to put the rear headrests. but... its a grin a minute to drive & punches well above its weight :)

i only use valeo blades. last ages, clear really well & cheap as chips :)

trust me change the cable. the ph1 throttle body is nice & basic & very little goes wrong with it. however the cable is so crap and routed so badly that the slightest kink or tight spot will give the symptoms you have. if you take the cable off and move it you probably will think its fine but...
