I have a 12" Eclipse sub in a sealed box and am not impressed with the bass lines. Should really have guessed it would be punchy more than long but hey! Any way - does any one know if this type of sub can be used in a ported box to give it that longer deeper bass note?

Also - the wire from the cross over to the component on the drivers side has broken some where, any one know what kinda a job it is to run a wire through the odd looking rubber seal on the door?

Thinking about amping my front components - is it best to run the amp to the cross-over and amp both mid and tweater or directly to the mid? Cheers!
