Adjusting rear coilovers doesnt effect tracking?

Er, so, were you asking if you need to reset the tracking on the front end if you adjust the ride height on the rear? If that's what you were asking then the answer is no mate! Lol! From your reply I suspect this may well be the case.

Adjusting rear coilovers doesnt effect tracking?

More like you'd have to recheck it because the rear axle has bent because it saw a bump in the road and s**t itself! Flol!

    RB26 pulsar gti-r

Dunno tbh chip. It came up in my subscriptions in YouTube, sounded interesting from the title and I linked it up on here. I was expecting a 600hp hillclimb beast tbh that lit the tyres up and drifted the corners! Lol I imagine it's running the gtr drivetrain - hence the wheels sticking out so...

    RB26 pulsar gti-r

Yeah I'll be honest I was expecting better things from it when I found it tbh. Sounds s**t as well! Lol

Adjusting rear coilovers doesnt effect tracking?

Technically it does actually mate, but it is only a negligible amount and hardly noticeable.

    Removing cam pulleys

My 1/2 snap on battery gun always gets them undone mate without fail. Other than that you need to lock the pulleys with the correct tool and attack them with a knuckle bar.

    Brilliant news mate!

    Hankook k110 vs k115

I use them as my road tyres and wets for Trackdays. Really good performing tyre tbh. I've used them on dry Trackdays as well and if your not a harsh driver they last pretty well before over heating. If you abuse them though they will over heat faster. That's for the S1 Evo's btw. They came 2nd...

You got any pictures of the fucked plug pete?

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

Try and get it as near as you can by eye mate. Yeah the dci is an electric motor and column assembly mate so then all you need is the rack and eBay controller kit. If you have a search on the epas conversion thread you'll find the right part numbers for the correct rack.

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

No worries. How far out does your tracking look out of interest?

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

You measure driveshafts in their compressed length as well btw.

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

This was going to be be my next question tbh mate. Yeah it definitely could've sustained damage. If it's a track car I'd consider doing the epas conversion and fit the dci rack. Removes any issues that may exist in your original rack or pump.

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

Yes mate. 182 has the same subframe as a 172 cup iirc as the track width is wider up front than a ph1/2 172. The issue could be a driveshaft bottoming out. Loosen your driveshaft nut and see if you've got any plunge on the shafts.

    Tyre ripping from rim/ Tracking

Sounds a bit like the power steering pump or rack could be knackered going off what your saying about putting more revs on it to get it to move. Or failing that if you've replaced the subframe, did you definitely fit a 182 one?

Clio cup engine bottom end upgrades help

Your options are wossner or pec pistons. After that your into custom made pistons and that will blow your budget! Other than that, steel rods and arp fasteners ie, rod bolts an stud and nut kit on the mains and head.

    172 suspension problem

You could revert back to standard springs but I'd be replacing the dampers at the same time. Sounds more like fucked dampers if it's skittish tbh mate.

    Shortest wheel nuts

1.5x the diameter is the recommended minimum. So for example, 12mm bolt should have 18mm of thread as a minimum.

So I broke my Spax RSX...

Have you got any pictures of how you had it assembled?

So I broke my Spax RSX...

Tbh, there's not really a lot of 'meat' around that part that's failed considering the load it has going through it. Obviously works though, but not designed for the twisting force that's been put through it.

Different air induction setups tested-pics and videos included

You need to shorten the coolant pipe slightly and I also slotted the header tank mounting bolt holes to move it further across. Works! I'll send you a pic of that when I send the battery relocation stuff.

    What coilovers for track use?

It's also important to remember your pissing in the wind if you don't have your car corner weighted once you fit coilovers. Same can be said for the roll centres. If they're miles out the damper and roll bars are immediately working significantly harder than they should be.

Is that Anthony Davidson driving your car MicKPM? Lol
  27. NorthloopCup

    What coilovers for track use?

Yes mate they're on car adjustable. Fronts are top adjustable and the rears have a collar at the bottom of the shaft. I can get the 2's at half right money as well.

    What coilovers for track use?

    £980 delivered for sportline 1's. I'm on sportline 2's
