They dont weigh as much as an M3, 1400kg iirc. But they are way too heavy. theres not much difference between the power/weight ratio of a 172 and a cup is there?
The PM he sent me...
spirez how you doing. first thing i have not got a clue what the offset of the wheels are but ill get to that in a bit. i do know that i had to find the thinest tyre in an 18" you could get or it was going to rub on the rear arches, now alot of...
that cars not mine, the lad who owns that said his tyres were 205/35/18 as the wheels were a 7" width, the tytes were falkens as they have an angles side wall for extra clearance. Im not sure if that size was correct though, as ive never seen 205/35/18s. Speak to the company called wheel base...
7.5" would be 215mm wide tyres
Your best bet is to find something with a 7" width
Some of the mille miglia range, dare v2s, arospeed(5 spoke ones, duno the name)
The brakes are good enough as it is, they come off a valver and gtt iirc.
Get bigger disks czone, get over yourself crono
18s will gon on but i dont know how many problems you will have in the long run
very tempted! you got a number for that elite? or any other stockists?
i read somewhere that they arent a great deal louder than standard but sound much deeper
Whos got one?
How much was it, how loud is it and did you notice any gains?
Who stocks them and do they fit well or are they a bit wonky?
I dont want a well loud exhaust as i like to jus chill and listen to my tunes a lot of the time
You could always just get them with whatever badges on and rub the detail of the badges so they are just smooth. Then colour code that bit iceberg silver (like the 172s)
theyre useless. when i had my mk1 i went in with the old CV gaiter and said i needed a new one, they gave me something else and told me these were all standard, didnt fit
i saw some silver ones on a clio the other day, not sure what they said as theyre not 172 badges. the clio im on about is in the brochure from renault, its a 5 door in a pale metallic green colour
