Roof scoops, what are people using?

Look here for a external view of mine: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?619576-FF-Racing-s-182-Racecar-Now-it-really-won-t-get-much-better-than-this-)/page95 I'll upload some more pictures so you can see the inside as well. The roof vent itself works REALLY well!! It is by far THE...

Current coilover kits - spring rates!

They're variant 2's mate. I run different spring rates with revalved dampers now anyway. God knows what they calculate into with nm. I only deal in lb/ft! Lol

Current coilover kits - spring rates!

Kw's are 330lb fronts and around 220lb rears. Rears are progressive as well, but fronts are linear.

Lol! No one will know until they get beaten and start crying about being beaten! That's when the fun starts and they look closely at your car for eligibility.

    Kenny's Kup

And the majority of that cost comes because of the s**t way Renault designed the jc5 diff unfortunately. My straight cut synchro vauxhall box cost £2600 incl diff, gear kit and rebuild items as a comparison!! It helps that I can build/rebuild the gearboxes myself though.

New valve guides with new valves?

These engines have colisibro guides as standard mate, so any replacement will add another £200 ish on to your price. If the originals have only done 64k I'm not sure I'd bother tbh. Unless the original valves have been bent at some point in it's life of course, as the guide will have sustained...

    which exhaust-suggestions please

I run a btb stealth on my cup bill and it's excellent! In a fully stripped out Clio there is hardly any noise issues to contend with from the exhaust. It doesn't drone on motorway journeys, and the best bit is that you don't attract the attention of the law when your giving it some! Lol! I...

Looking for a Decent Socket Set

Snap on do blue point sets (cheaper version of snap on tools) which are excellent vfm. I have 3 sets, a 1/4,3/8 and a 1/2 for working on my car and they're covered under snap ons lifetime warranty to. I use snap on at work though! No comparison! Halfords proffesional range is very good quality...

The 1 written on your sheet probably means 1 millimetre. If you had 1 degree of toe out/in you would definitely know about mate!! Lol! Thanks for the comments about my car as well btw.

    Roof scoop recommendation?

I run with a 197 cup car roof vent. Cost about £225 from r-sport. Absolutely awesome bit of kit with the directional nozzles for the air. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?619576-FF-Racing-s-182-Racecar-Now-it-really-won-t-get-much-better-than-this-)/page95 You can see mine in...

    my suspension/geo set up

I run on kw v2's with ast top mounts and have 2.5 degrees camber at the front and 2 degrees camber at the rear. I have the top mounts set for maximum castor. I run around 5-10 minutes toe out at the front (depends on time of year as it gives the steering a twitchy feeling) for good turn in...

    Compensator valve issue

They should have a spring on them to return them to the up position. When the brakes are applied, the piston inside moves to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes. It should always return though, so it's possibly seizing up. Mines fixed in the shut position for maximum rear brake effort.

    custom lowering springs?

Coilsprings at Sheffield will do you some. Ignore the shite on their website though. They do proper stuff, the website caters for the retards/chavs in the world. They make springs for a lot a the big suspension company's in the uk as well.

    Clio 172 phase 1 turbo

I have a 172 head adapted to accept a 197 inlet manifold. It's not just a simple case of re-drilling the head to accept the manifold either. There's a lot of reshaping to do on the inlet ports as well. Read that as s**t loads!

No mate not running body's. The engine looms not been cut down yet mate, it's only the interior loom I've re-worked. The engine loom is on the cards for the future though. Sorry for any confusion regarding that mate. Btw, how long did it take seiz to get back in touch with you when you ordered...

Yes mate I run the standard dash pack. I'll be using a gen90 ecu as well so it will be staying as well. If the uch goes up s**t creek I'll have no option but to run a dash2 or something along those lines.

Green one is the oil pressure warning light switch mate. Possibly the plug is for that switch???? When I cut back my loom I just traced back the circuits that were no longer needed as well. Beware with the behind the dash stuff though as there's a fair few wires that are can related. I have...
