Honestly i can't remember now. I just remember adding it all up after about 3 months and it being around the £2.5k mark and it was still throwing up Engine management lights.
I'm pretty sure there was a boost leak somewhere which they're renown for, but even after doing a leak test, i couldn't...
My commute to work is probably 50% 40 & 50mph speed roads with average speed camera's and 40% roads were overtaking isn't really possible safely. There are a few miles of roads to have fun on, but it's easy to average close to 40mpg, if you avoid having a little fun on those bits. I'm currently...
I really wished i'd gone for the v6 instead of the 225 Turbo when i bought mine a couple years ago. I had nothing but trouble with the bloody thing, owned it 3 months and spent over £2.5k servicing it and keeping it on the road. In the end it was the 24mpg average that pushed me over (bearing in...
Thanks.... I always end up travelling for miles whenever i buy a car for some reason, so try to answer all the questions i'd want to ask, either before seeing the car or whilst there if I went to view it.
The only issue the guy that viewed the car found was that there was oil around the...
Hopefully it'll be the last car i need to sell for a while. Ended up selling my wife's C-Max to Evans Halshaw a few days after christmas as well, because i just couldn't be arsed to try and sell it privately, and they offered what i thought was fair money for it.
Mine was up for sale at the beginning of December for £2500, I'd had so much interest via here, and Facebook, but everyone was either miles away or not fully committed to actually buying a car it seemed in the lead up to Christmas. It went on eBay a few days after Christmas. Counted up the...
I'm not sure what you'd be able to spend £1000 on to be honest. It's already had loads of work done. The gearbox is solid, the clutch is new, belts are done. Brakes are recent and upgraded. ball joints new, etc. The only thing i'd probably look to change would be the steering wheel for a 330mm...
Thanks dude..
Thanks for the kind words... the car is still available at £2200, but is up on eBay now and i'm getting quite a lot of interest, so may not be around for much longer. I still think its easily a £2.5k+ car at any other time of the year. My old Artic Blue on 114k miles needing...
It is more rubbery and flexible than the standard hose yes. But not massively like a normal hose pipe, but i guess this is to deal with the high pressures
I recently bought a 20m hose for my Nilfisk C110.

Had the Nilfisk for about 5 years now, and can't fault it really...
It's pretty much just a few small dents really. problem is when the car is clean they really stand out.
I've got two cars that have dents that could be pulled out. I might be better off getting a pro in, but i like having a go myself. Saying that i'll not be trying this on the RB first.
Well yeah, that was my point and why i'm asking if anyone on here has first hand experience.
I'm not expecting perfect results, even pro's have difficulty sometimes. But it's something i fancy having a go at.
However, if the general opinion is that it's a pointless waste of £40-50 on a kit...
As anyone ever tried one of these dent removal kits?
I've watched a few videos on Youtube, seems the people selling the equipment get very good results and the DIY'er get varying results. Though some are very optimistic in the dents there trying to pull out.
I'd be surprised if it was something internal, as now i know i can't push the shifter too far over, i goes into gear fine. It's literally just that the shifter seems to move too far over.
Does anyone know what the spring is for?
I've seen a few people mention these on the facebook group. Personally, I think you'd be better off buying a second hand system from a known brand.
There is a couple in the market section for sale now. Including a mint Milltek for £150
Driving home on Friday night, suddenly i couldn't find 1st gear. Every other gear was fine and the car drove normally, so i just used 2nd to pull away.
It was late when i got home, so couldn't investigate (plus i was wearing a Tux), but i realised that if i didn't move the shifter all the way...
Out of the list i'd probably choose the Megane 250, with a couple of simple mods to up the power as previously stated.
But for a car to use for fun and track days, I'd probably also consider a 172 Cup, maybe with ITB's, Diff, etc with some weight saving.
I've never seen a set sell for that low to be honest, even very tatty one. But i'm only exposed to clio forums and sites.
I sold a set of Evo 6 seats on the same mounts for around £400 (i don't recall the exact amount) about a year ago. But prices and demand change on this sort of thing. I'd...
How much would you expect to sell a set of Recaro's from an Evo 7, with Jon Foz lowering mounts for a Clio 1*2?
I'm considering changing to bucket seats, but depends how much i can expect back for these really, as I'm trying to not throw loads of money at the car for a while.
I was looking at ultralite F1 alloys the other day. These come in 15 X 7.5J. and 6.5kg. but they are a copy, design wise and I'm not sure how strong they are.
It's worth buying quality bulbs.
The Audi TT i had a couple years ago, had cheap ebay Xenon bulbs installed and generated too much heat and burnt all the reflective material inside the projectors. Cost me about £300 for some RS4 projectors with clear lens. but new headlight units were £600...

£146 here if that helps.
I'd purchase all the parts via them too. Likely the cheapest and all genuine parts.
I ended up going with Aviva this year. Previous years I've always paid around £450-500 with Greenlight and Sky. Aviva wanted £250, and i managed to get £50 cashback via topcashback, so total cost was £200. That for 12k a year and business miles with mod's declared and only £150 excess
Unless you're very short, it's definitely worth going for the lower mounts over standard height.
I'm 6ft, but find the lower mounts are still too high. I'm going to eventually switch my recaro's for bucket seats
I think the material of the pipe makes a difference to the sound. My last 182 used a 90 alloy bend into a 90 silicon bend. I bought this setup to allow me to remove the RS2 manifold, and to be honest i thought it sounded better than the RS2 setup.
I've now got a 90 silicon bend into the...
I had an early Evol Dogbone and removed it after a couple of weeks.
Since then had the powerflex inserts in both the dogbone and engine, and it was much better, very little extra vibration, and not even noticeable on the move.
I've got a dogbone insert to add to my new 182, and will be adding...
I've had an VW Jetta with a 2.0 tdi engine, an audi TT with a 1.8T engine, and more recently a Z4 with the 3.0 engine. I'm more comfortable with the reliability of my clio 182 than any of them to be honest.
Just started my 4th ownership of a 182. The previous times i'd had a failed gearbox that...
The wheels were part of the attraction to this car for me, brand new 1.2's and AD08R's, so saved me having to buy a set. Also got Evo 7 Recaro seats on lower mounts and 330mm omp wheel with cruise buttons added.
