It's not that hard is it? Could you do it yourself if you had instructions?
I may be able to help if you get desperate, i'd need to find out how to do it though.
I was going to do it tonight Jamie but my dad doesn't believe me when I say you don't need spring compressors so he's going to pick some up from work tomorrow. I would do it anyway but it means moving 2 cars to get to the garage then moving another out of the garage and I can't be bothered on...
I trust your judgement Fred. That is what I wanted to hear as my current spring compressors are bowed. The joys of fitting springs to an Astra diesel, they were rated at about 500lb's I think LOL.
Costco LOL. TBH I've never had a problem with them but i've never had a decent set of rims until now.
I reckon a smaller independent place would be better than a chain though as they are more likely to actually train their employees.
I've got a place by me in Garforth who is run by a mate. He...
Superb guys. It sounds really easy.
Why is there no need for spring compressors though? Is it due to the shorter length of the new springs?
Will the original springs not jump off of the strut when I undo the top nut?
I might give it a crack this evening if it is that easy.
I called John last Thursday about a set of Apex springs for my 172. He came back with a great price of £95 delivered which beat everywhere else I could find.
Payment went through on Friday morning and the springs arrived today.
Really impressed. John's a really friendly bloke and was more than...
This is probably a daft question but it's better to know what you are up against.
I have just received my Apex springs for my 172, what is involved in fitment?
I have removed struts and fitted numerous front springs on Vauxhalls but have never done a Renault.
Do I simply disengage the track...
An NTSC-J game will not load on an NTSC (USA) console unless it is chipped as Jonesy said. Even though both regions use the same screen formatting (NTSC) they have individual region coding so games cannot be played on the other regions machines.
When you say the headlight fixtures have snapped, is the unit still sealed? If it is I would just Araldite it or maybe bodge a bracket from aluminium if it is out of sight.
That's not that bad mate. Wings are about £56 IIRC, there is a bumper on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/renault-clio-172-182-front-bumper_W0QQitemZ4592176557QQcategoryZ10410QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Comes with a grille as well so you could whip that off and re-sell it to make some money back. I don't...
^^^^ 182_blue is right. 172 alloys are ET48.5 against the Cups 38.5 giving a 20mm wider track. The wheels also look much better in the arches as, as you say they fill them out more.
