g18llo wanted the other set as well I think. Surely he doesn't need both so I will still PM about both sets, if you want these wheels that is.
I can post a map of my car before and after my re-map.
Spec before: A stainless Cat back, PiperX panel, Silicone elbow and uprated feed with removal of the acoustic valve.
Spec after: The above plus a Paul Murray re-map.
I'm not sure what basis he charges on. I think it is dependant on the amount of work required.
I don't think that trim removal would knock the cost down as they only really need to remove the rear cards. For really difficult areas of the 3/4 panel they drill a tiny access hole in the rear arch...
Just had a guy from Dent Solutions work his magic on my 172. It had the usual ripples and dents on the rear 3/4's. It took him well over 2 hours.
The result is spot on and only cost £140 inclusive of VAT.
If anyone in the Leeds area needs anything doing, give John a ring on 07813 817338.
Where have you 'brought' it to?
Package looks good for a starter. I don't understand the concept of 6x9's though. They don't add bass and they don't and mid. All they add is unsightly holes in your parcel shelf.
Ebay them and put the cash towards a nice set of 6's for the rear quarters, or...
You should really remove or loosen the plugs on the top as they gas but I don't think it will blow up. I have left batterys on charge for days and have never had a problem.
16'' are reputedly the best. I have just fitted a set of Cup Turinis to my 172 and the increased track gives much improved turn in. These are 16's. Fred is selling a set refurbed in Tropht grey I think.
I enjoy a challenge. I'm not sure wether to go for it. £30 is probably half what a decat would cost me but I know what you mean about flow. I'll see if Fred has done it.
Here you go mate:

It's what i'd call 'Gheyyyyy' but it might be what you're looking for.
Alternatively, I have a V6/Trophy spoiler which may be more to your liking...
To be fair I haven't looked but, as the old saying goes, 'No pain, no gain', literally.
Is it worth it for £30 or shall I just have a straight through pipe made up?
I don't mind changing back come MOT time, it's only 4 bolts. I thought this may be an option as I can get a Cat for less than £30 but if it will not help performance, I won't bother.
...would it make a mess?:)
If I bought a used cat and removed the ceramic baffles, would this improve performance to the same extent as a decat?
I have heard that some jap motors actually benefit from the swirling effect but in theory it doesn't sound right.
I keep getting flashed just for having my headlights on! Are Xenons amazingly bright as it appears that BMW drivers don't like. When I get a flash for my 'bright' lights, they get some full beam. Coonts
Not sure what colour code your car is but you will be able to find the code inside your drivers door on the frame. In the oval box you should have a list of codes. The third code down on the left will be your colour code. Mine is MV640 if that helps, the code being the numerical section.
I have just received my birthday money 2 months after my birthday LOL.
I have decided I want EVOgone's favourite springs, the Apex -40mm's for my phase 2 172.
Where is the cheapest place for them?
I have checked motorsportworld.co.uk and they come out at about £96. Anyone know anywhere else...
Had this happen to me last week on my 172. It's only 3 years old. I took it for a test and it showed up as a knackered cell. It was probably brought on by the cold weather.
If I were you I would get it tested again as an AA man doesn't really know that much otherwise he would be a proper...
