211 bhp on the day, fuelling was all over the place, needs remap, should be good for about 235.
Uploading vids now onto the tube, will post links later
Ps my air temp and RH is wrong, just like the Vectra. Can we get a free 2nd run too?
I agree going from 428's to anything else is a bit of a waste unless the rest of the engine is as tuned to the same standard eg breathing, internally and externally
Thought it was itb'd?
I make standard torque at 3000 rpm and at least 20 ftlbs over standard at a standard engine's peak torque and then go on to make 10 more 1000 rpm later.
I know you know your stuff, was trying to be informative :)
Anyone fancy a warm up trackday at RAF Marham? I've organised another ClioSport outing there and it's only £70 for about 2hrs track time.
At least have a peek.

Thanks Daz

If you look at the catcams catalogue, it says standard parts for the 421 cams.
As for clearance i have 422's, which have similar lift and high comp pistons, and had no clearance issues
I hope your not upgrading from 428's, because you won't see much difference. If you are and haven't bought...
Find yourself an M3 or Evo and i'll race it mate. my clio will happily keep up with them. I've raced scoobys and skylines at santa pod, although the cup isn't quicker, but very close (to skylines, scoobys aren't competition)
I wanna go.... little boy.....
the thread started as 172 vs cooper s. you turned it into jcw vs cup. slightly different really. I'll up the stakes then, My clio cup vs jcw cooper. jcw owned. fact
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
There's 13 bhp between a p and a r, 200cc and some torque, but i'll be suprised if it's a second!
My old valver, with just filter and zorst was doing 15.1.
Personally if Chris was to change the engine, it not worth putting a f7r in it, you may as well do it...
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Bolts are on order from Renault for the wishbones, I'll pick them up Friday.
Anyone got a lower cambelt cover 77 00 854 945 kicking about?
I was saying his graph was false, cos i didn't look at yours. Not false as in made up, just enhananced ;) a little.
I didn't look at your separate thread so wasn't passing comment on it.
I agree that different scales are used but should be kept to different graphs like you said to avoid...
So your point is? the graph shown is false. If you have a power graph showing hp and torque, it will look odd if the scales aren't the same. And by the way i wasn't actually talking about your graph as you hijacked the thread, i was trying to help out the originator of the thread
Only going on what i've been told by various tuners. looking at that graph you could be right as the scales are different, however with the torque all over the place poss due to traction control, why is the power line smooth if it's calculated from torque and rpm?
