@DomP182 just taken mine out for a quick drive to check. Cruise does turn off when I brake and I have to resume it on the R button.
I did replace my brake light switch in 2019 due to a faulty switch. Will look for the part number later, but I am sure it’s just a standard brake light switch from...
@DomP182 Just Checked for squib and where I bought it from don't have any now.
But the part number I listed is the one I searched for. I would say yes regarding the esp.
Hi @DomP182 , Yes I would say so regarding wheel. Also like Martin says you need to cut the airbag for switches to fit. I purchased my squib new from ebay which came from Germany. I will see if I can find the link.
Sorry I don't know regarding esp but I don't think you will.
@DomP182 I retrofitted cruise to my 53 plate 172 earlier in the year.
The first thing I done was buy a second hand cruise switch like your photo to check that I had all the required wiring in place. (Photos Attached).
To check it works with ignition on press the switch and SET should come up...
@RustyMojo
Looks a nice example.
A new Positive battery terminal would be a good addition

Are you sticking with the induction filter or going back to standard Filter?
Good luck...
This is what I have. It's a Volantech panel with cruise and speed limiter. The red buttons are for horn. The boss is a momo one. It's best to get a specialist to turn the airbags off on Renault Clip, saves having to use resistors. Wheel was from YB Racing. I think it's a Targa 330mm Diameter.
Just ordered four from Renparts. Don't currently need them but will be good to have spares. So many parts are difficult to get hold of now so trying to build up spares.
@1985michael182 Can I make a suggestion regarding the pump you have linked. Keep the original Renault Grommet for the connection between pump and Washer bottle.
This is only through experience as I couldn't get the supplied grommet to seal. Ended up ordering genuine Renault Grommets. The pump...
This picture shows part of the bottom air filter bracket. Bottom left of battery hopefully you can see one of the bolts.
By the way nice to see that you are rescuing the cup instead of breaking it.
Two bolts hold the long bracket on. Hopefully the front bracket is still there. Mine was missing the rear bracket when I bought mine and sod's law that was the only one that Renault had discontinued.
@Danboy66 This is where the front one attaches. There is a third bracket underneath which bolts under the battery to the battery tray. Hope this helps.
@Amos91 I replaced both mine back in Feb, I ended up luckily finding the Left hand one from a dealer that had one left in stock. My Dealer & several others told me it was No Longer Available when phoning around.

Is this what you want?
I fully understand that. I made a decision that one of my Renault Sports had to go and I have got too attached to my 172 to get rid. Sunk way too much money into it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I have the 1.3 Auto RS Line after owning a 220 Trophy. As a daily it’s way more comfortable and easy to drive.
The seats are also more comfortable. The engine is very smooth as well as gear changes are silky smooth. The performance is reasonable. Whilst I appreciate it’s not a trophy on its own...
