i've thought about this, though I may be wrong. On Vauxhalls, the base of the strut is attached to the wing on the vertical edge. I presume a Clio setup hasn't been manufactured as the wings are plastic and would not provide enough strength to support the bonnet.
Please correct me if anyone...
AFAIK they are a staight fit for the Mk2 172/182 but anything is possible with a hacksaw and a little patience. I had Laguna splitters on the front and rear of a Nova.
Not my auctions, though the guy does have the same surname.
£50 including P+P. I've just treated the silver bullet to one.

As biojo says, I'm from Garforth. Just got the car mate. I used to have metallic green Cavalier SRI so it's a bit of an upgrade.
How do you find the coilies ride and handling wise?
I am not saying they should be able to match a colour to a car. What I have a problem with is their lack of customer service, dogsh1t waiting times, amazing lack of knowledge and a general unwillingness to help.
When I have gone in already armed with a paint code, as per my two previous...
These guys do not know what they are doing. It is the third car in as many weeks I have taken down and they haven't had a clue what colour it was. So much for paint matching.
I thought the oval sticker was in the door shut on all Clios as the 3/4 I have seen have been like this.
That's the one bud. Car is really tidy just a couple of annoying dents on the quarters as usual and some stone chipping on the bonnet and bumper.
What coilies are on yours, it looked sweet.
So where in Leeds are you?
It's an F4R 172 Mk2 motor.
Chris' quote from Mig:
'ben gets the inlet chops is open re-shapes it, the stock renault core shift is appaling on them, the older F7 engines as found in the old 16V's are much better.
Anyway chopped open, re-shaped welded back up, normally gets around 10 or so...
Just been chatting to (having my car slated by) a guy called Chris H on Migweb. He's well into his old skool Renaults from what I gather. He mentioned the above mod. I can't find any info on the search facility. Is Ben still doing this? How much is it and does anyone have any before after...
Had it since Tuesday and I love it. I started de-tarring it today, takes ages as it is caked under both skirts, along both sides and across the front. Fook knows where it has been. At least there aren't as many chips as first appear when it is covered in tar.
Got a custom stainless...
That is exactly what I was thinking.
So if there are no off the shelf kits available I may need to look at an equivalent size motor. I know they are available for Corsas.
Hmmmm.
My little shopping list for my Mk2 172:
Silver vision indicator bulbs,
Clear repeaters with silver visions,
A cat replacement pipe/any good fabricators in the Leeds area?
Thanks chaps.
I have just got my 2002 172 and have given the engine a quick clean. As a ritual I always take a look at the intake of a new car to see if there are any gains to be had.
I think I may vent the breather pipe which runs to the intake elbow and seal the elbow as this gas is taking up space which...
Meant to say Julie there, I must remember not to talk as I type.
The difference with a bankers cheque is that the funds are guaranteed the next day subject to first class post. The cheque will still take the usual four working days to clear however.
So I should make the cheque payable to...
I am faced with a predicament. I have put a deposit on a 172. I went to see the car yesterday and I saw the owners girlfriend. Apparently it is her boyfriends car, (his name is on the log book) which he pays the loan on but he has a company car so Julie drives it. They are also splitting up...
Its all subject to an inspection so I will see what that throws up. I dont really expect to get more than a couple of hundered quid off it though as apart from a scuffed alloy and wing mirrors, its pretty much faultless. I hope.
