you are talking about the top mounts right? you can take them off and fit back with the car on the ground without the suspension coming off . . .

as said pop to garage get them to buzz off with air gun, tip them a fiver. Then tighten them up yourself after copper grease for easy removal when you get home

are you talking new driveshafts for the higher amount? and new cv boots fitted for the lower? if so go for then new shafts

cable ties are only usually one length, the one I used was about 12" long and about 5-6mm wide

nice thick cable tie also does the trick :) but yes jubilee clip does the trick, but careful not to cut boot from doing it too tight
